Coral Reef

Look at that, two days of outfit posts in a row!! It took me a long time to get myself off my lazy bottom and get outside to take these photos, but in the end I managed it, so I hope you appreciate them haha!! I received a parcel full of goodies from Matalan yesterday including this dress! I couldn’t decide between the green one or the coral one, but eventually went for this because the green didn’t look mint-coloured enough, if that makes sense!! I’m loving these longer lengths at the moment, the other day I put on a dress I haven’t worn for about a year and thought, oh my goodness this is short!! I just don’t think those lengths are as flattering on me anymore, but this hits right at knee length and is about perfect! Even the dress I wore yesterday is a little shorter than I feel comfortable in on a day-to-day basis nowadays.

As you can probably tell, it was pretty windy outside today and a little dark too, hence the grainy pictures because I had to edit them lighter. This meant a lot hair in face photos and skirt blowing the wrong way, but I think I got some okay-ish ones in the end!! The wind also makes the dress look a lot less flattering than it is, when I’m inside it hangs really nicely and looks pretty, outside it’s all over the place!! Ah well, I’ll just have to wait for a sunny less windy day so I can wear this as it’s intended!!

Floral Headband: Primark
Dress (with belt): c/o Matalan
Tights: M&S
Shoes: Primark
I also popped, ahem, accidentally into Primark yesterday. I’m sure I mentioned before but I can’t find it anywhere, but I went into Primark last week and picked up an amazing mint green pleated midi skirt, which I wore for the day part of the Hen Weekend on Saturday, and I also tried on a 50s style yellow and blue dress. The weird thing is that the midi skirt fit me in a 6, but the 8 in the dress was TINY!! So I ended up back in there and bought the 10 in the dress yesterday, the waist is still small (and that’s really odd because that’s the smallest part of me) and the chest is a bit big (which is my biggest part!!), doesn’t make sense, but the dress is pretty =D I also got some socks, awesome, I know – but it’s three pairs of pastel socks for £2!! Can’t wait to wear them with brogues, please let the weather get warmer!!
Well, have a good weekend everyone!! This is my last weekend before my Easter break, so just one more week of uni left till then, and this will be my last weekend of crazed work before Easter =)

This dress looks so beautiful on you 🙂 I have it too! In coral and I bought it in green too 🙂 and you were right about the colour, it’s a really bright green. I love it but it’s definitely not mint 🙂

Oh wow, that colour is gorgeous on you. You look sooo lovely! I’m with you on longer skirt lengths. Most of my skirts and dresses are knee length or longer. I actually want to get more shorter ones this year though haha, just because I’ve never felt confident enough to wear them and finally am now. Shorter hems do still feel a little something more than day-to-day though, I will agree. I hope you don’t work too hard! Remember to treat yourself at the end of a particularly hard day, because a hard-working brainiac such as yourself deserves pampering 😀
