Top: Primark
Shorts: c/o Oasap
Shoes: River Island
Hey, look! I’m back with outfit posts from home!! I have a ridiculous amount of outfits to share with you, including just one more from my holiday, but I thought I’d better get started on these ones now! I think I’d better apologise for my grumpy face in these photos, and the fact that I’m not looking at the camera in 3 out of 4 pictures – my mouth was actually numb at this point from my gum-chopping experience at the dentist earlier that day, so you can’t blame me really!!
This top is one I bought from Primark for my holiday – it’s supposed to be oversized, but I decided to buy it in a size 14 to make it a little bit more oversized! And the shorts are from Oasap – when I was choosing an item from their site a while ago, I happened to see this post by Frassy and loved the shorts – the decision was made. With Oasap’s sizing I was worried they wouldn’t fit – they are a medium (they only have medium and large) and they are a little tight, particularly on my thighs, and very short, but they’re wearable!
I also have a more personal matter to talk about again today: I’m not sure if I’ve written about it much, but over the last couple of years I’ve suffered with intermittent pains in my stomach. Recently they’ve got a lot more frequent, intense and focused, as well as hurting in my back under my right shoulder blade too. So after the last ‘attack’ my parents made me go to the Doctors – I’m sure some of you know I don’t have the best relationship with my GP, so I was pleased that I got sent to the other doctor at the practice. After a talk and an examination with him, he decided I should go for an ultrasound to take a look at what might be going on, thinking it might be either an inflamed gallbladder or irritable bowel syndrome. He thought it was unlikely to be my gallbladder however because apparently that’s usually only a risk in the ‘3 Fs’: Fat, Forty, Female. Obviously I fit female, but pretty sure I’m not the other two! But I went for the scan anyway last week and had to wait a week for the results, so went to see my GP today. It turns out it is my gallbladder, and I have a lovely gallstone in there that’s been causing me all this pain. Apparently it’s 13mm, which is pretty big, and I have to have surgery to have it removed, not so much fun. But at the moment nothing’s set in stone because I have a new job to start, so it’s most likely I’ll be having it in my holidays some time next year. Until then, I’ve got medication in case of attacks again and basically just have to be careful with what I eat – low-fat foods from now on apparently =( But at least I know what it is now and it’ll make it a little less scary when it happens in future.
Right, end of massive Sian illness story! Promise I won’t be moaning about this too much (at least not until it happens!). And I’ll be back soon with more and more and more outfit posts!!

Sian! I’m so glad you got your stomach pains figured out — I know you mentioned it a while ago, so I’m glad it’s been sorted. Or at least, you know what it is!! That’s always kind of a relief, less fear when you’ve got a name to it. :] This outfit is cute. I’ve been trying to find a pair of patterned shorts lately (I’m leaning towards floral-y because, well, of course) and I really like these ones!!
