Breaking the Rules

I’m sorry I’ve been a useless blogger over the weekend =( As I mentioned in my last post I wasn’t feeling well (thank you for all your get well comments!), so I ended up going home on Friday morning, although did I plan to go home this weekend because my great aunt from Canada was visiting, I just went back a bit earlier than planned.

This is my great aunt wearing my shoes haha! I think she liked them, although she had some problems walking in them =)
I still managed to have a good weekend even though I was ill most of it: I took my sister shopping on Saturday, she said she wanted new outfits and she needed my advice, awww! It’s her 18th on Monday (I can’t believe my baby sister is so old!), and we’re going out with a few of her friends for a meal at an Indian restaurant, so she wanted a new dress for that. She bought one from Miss Selfridge and actually wore it that night too, we went out with my Grandma and Grandad, and of course my great aunt to a local pub.

I didn’t get that many pictures, but this is my grandma and I, she closed her eyes in the flash though and I didn’t realise until I put them on my computer, she doesn’t always look like that haha!! I wore my outfit 3 from this post except with a top underneath the leotard and some black tights because it’s cooooold =D

And in honour of my aunt being there, we let off another of our chinese lanterns (see my sister’s dress here!). We had to light it and get it warmed up in the house because it was raining! I was convinced it was going to get soaked through and just fall back down to earth, but it didn’t! In fact we probably saw this one for longer than any of the others =) And all the others have headed sort of South or South East, but this one went North which was very strange! But the problem is that’s the way the nearest town (well market town, it’s tiny!) is, so people might have seen it haha!

And finally a couple of outfit posts, this is from yesterday (Monday 16/11/10).
Red Cardigan: New Look
Stripy Top with Crochet Collar: Republic
Woolen Striped Skirt: Primark
Heart Print Tights: Primark

Scarf: Gift from my cousins
Camel Woollen Top: Primark
Brown Woven Belt: Accessorize
Leggings: H&M
Fur Top Boots: Chockers Shoes
This outfit is from today, and gives me the title of this post, because I always hate wearing leggings with too short tops, but I thought this would cover my hips, but evidently not! So I’m breaking my own rules!! It’s another sort of comfy can’t be bothered outfit because I’m still not feeling so good, but had to go into uni so I just bunged on whatever I came to first! At the moment I’ve sort of given up on make up too, I tend to do this when I’m ill, I only wore it on Saturday night, and apart from that I haven’t worn any since Wednesday! I actually left my main make up bag at home so only have a few things here, but I’m not too bothered right now =) It’s nice not to wear it for a little while, gives your skin a break and sometimes I just can’t be bothered on a morning!
Also I will have a very exciting post coming up for you soon, because I received my first item from the Clothes Swap I’m taking part in, a lovely dress from Charlotte, I’m very excited to style it up and already have some ideas!! =DDD

Love,
