I thought I’d better give you the basic outfit post first before I do my other pictures, you can see my outfit in those anyway. I did mention that I was going to Lindisfarne this weekend, but instead we chose to go to Bamburgh Castle in Northumberland because it’s not quite as far as Ben has to drive a lot for work. But first, I just want to ramble about my new dress a bit, yay!! The other day when Ben and I popped into town, I was allowed a quick look in the shops (actually just New Look and H&M) and in the 3 minutes I was allowed in H&M, I managed to spot this dress in the sale for £10! I’m not sure how much it was before but I’m going to go for about £25 so I’m very happy, and it was the only one left, and in my size, yay again!! I love the flippyness of the skirt, and although you can’t see in these pictures, it has a visible zip on the back which seems to be a lovely contrast to the feminine florals and shape.
So first we went to have fish and chips in the town of Seahouses, then we had a little walk (in my case skip, see last picture!) on the beach. It was a little bracing and windy, but still nice! There were actually a lot of people walking along it, I was surprised! And a lot of seaweed. From the beach, and from Seahouses actually, you can see Bamburgh Castle, so I got a few pictures of that, however blurry they are! It is a very…oooh I can’t think of the word…imposing maybe? That’ll do! It is a very imposing looking castle, sat on a hill looking out over the bleak Northumbrian landscape and sea.
This picture above won’t go any bigger for some reason, sorry! So anyway, we then went on to the Castle where we got to look around 14 of the 200 rooms, although you don’t see them in original condition as they are filled with antiquities and collections. You can walk around the walls, looking at the cannons and the views too.
Aaaaand finally one last picture or two… my impromptu sitting around the house Halloween outfit =D
