Christmas Eve! (very predictable, I know!)

Christmas Eve!! Yay!!
Do you have any traditions for Christmas that you follow every year?? Christmas Eve is one of my favourite traditions because all my family from my mum’s side comes together at my Grandma and Grandad’s house. There’s usually about 16 of us now because of girlfriends/boyfriends too and it’s not a very big house but we all manage to squeeze in somehow! And even though it’s never a very smart occasion, I always over dress haha! Well I don’t have anything else to dress up for, I don’t have any Christmas parties or anything! I’m planning on wearing my red velvet skirt tonight because it’s quite Christmassy, but I’m still not sure to wear with it, maybe my black lace dress as a top or something?? I don’t know! And I’m still deciding over whether to wear my Jeffrey Campbells, Vivienne Westwoods or black platform wedges…

It snowed again overnight..eurgh.. I’m fed up of it all now! The temperature hasn’t got above freezing in ages and we’ve had snow for over a month now without it melting.
Oh, we had a disaster last night! I was staying at Ben’s house; his dad is a fireman and at about midnight he had a call out so went running down to the fire station. About 20 minutes later the phone rang, and it was him asking to speak to Ben. I thought this was a bit strange but I stayed in bed. It turned out that in the flat above one of our shops (my dad owns a bakery business) a pipe had burst and there was a lot of water flowing through the shop and over the electrics =/ So I had to ring my dad to see if he had a key, but he didn’t, and he been drinking that night so he had to get my mum to drive him there, and someone from the bakery had to bring a key! It took a long time to get sorted apparently, but the shop’s luckily up and running today, lucky because there was a massive queue out the door earlier! My dad walked back across the fields at 3.45am today too haha!!
Lottie kept trying to sneak in on all my pictures as you can probably tell, I think she wanted to show you all what she’s doing in this picture above because the second I turned the camera on her that’s what she did! If you’re wondering, that’s the pond she’s stood on haha! It’s her new trick, she thinks she’s like Jesus Dog or something!
Pink Cardigan: TK Maxx
Peter Pan Collar Floral Dress: Zara
Skinny Waist Belt: Primark
Green Tights: George at Asda
Brown Heeled Boots (very old!): Barratts maybe?!
So Beth and I managed to make it to York in the end yesterday! We spent the morning buying final presents, wrapping and cards, then after lunch we did some clothes shopping! I had really wanted to go to Leeds because I still have a £20 gift card for American Apparel from my birthday, but we couldn’t get there because of the trains, so York sufficed! I bought a maroon coloured Peter Pan collar dress and some over the knee cream coloured socks from Topshop and the dress I am wearing here from Zara. I actually love this dress. Everyone says I look like a granny in it, but I really love it =DD The boots are another revived thing from the past haha, I actually quite like them, I forgot about them too =)

I’ve got to get ready to go out soon so I’ll be going now! I wanted to show you my present wrapping too, but I forgot to take pictures, I’ll take some though, don’t worry! I was actually creative for once with it, it includes brown paper, ribbons and glitter!! Also, I ran out space for storing my pictures on Picasa Web Albums for my blog, so I’m using flickr at the moment and copying the HTML codes into my blog, but I was wondering if any of you have a different or easier way of doing it?? Well let me know if you do!

Love,
