I finally wore a real outfit today! I slobbed around in bakery clothes yesterday, and this morning, after staying at Ben’s house and having no other clothes there, I put the same clothes back on, yeh I’m disgusting. But I decided in the end this wasn’t satisfactory, and I shouldn’t be so lazy so I got off the sofa and put some real clothes on, I felt much better about myself after that!!
Beth (sister) and I were supposed to be going shopping in Leeds today, but the trains are in complete chaos right now (England apparently cannot cope with snow, well actually when it was only in the north for the last month we were fine but now it’s everywhere the country’s shut down completely…), so anyway, we realised we weren’t going to get there, so we decided on York instead…but it started snowing. It’s so rubbish! My car is still stuck and I can’t get anywhere without a parent driving me, very frustrating. It also means we have to drive to Malton to get the train to York tomorrow when I’d usually just drive straight there, but what can you do.
This jumper is definitely my favourite purchase this season….maybe this year! Well in clothes anyway, shoes are a different matter entirely (notice the new shoes!! I will explain those below). I really just want to wear it every day, but that’s just not nice, and then I’d probably get bored of it too. It’s a perfect autumny-wintery colour and it’s cute because it has bobbles on haha! It also seems to go with everything, although this may be due to the fact that I actually just clash it with a lot of things! So it seems very popular among bloggers at the moment to remix their clothes, so I thought I’d show you a few other ways I’ve worn this jumper:
Hmmm these outfits are all fairly similar, they include either a skirt or a dress (as a skirt) that is generally floral print! Never mind, I did plan to wear it with this dress (which I’m actually wearing as a skirt) but it was in the wash and then I forgot! Maybe next time =)
So I said I’d tell you about the shoes. These were my early birthday present from Ben, the ones he got me a month ago (with some gentle persuasion!), that I wore once for my sister’s birthday and then left in my car for 3 weeks. In fact the ones that I fell over on the ice going to retrieve. But they were worth the fall! They are lovely! Very comfortable and lovely =) They are however pretty high, in fact they might be the highest shoes I own because of that platform, perhaps even higher than my Jeffrey Campbells. I now have three shoes competing for my favourites, my Vivienne Westwoods, Jeffrey Campbells and these. I think I have learnt something about shoes, not to just buy them on a whim because I end up buying ones that just appeal to me at that moment and are generally unwearable except for nights out. However, the three shoes I have listed above I lusted over for ages and ages, thinking, “shall I buy, shall I not”, and eventually bought and LOVED. Lesson learnt.
Again, this is a fairly old “I left it at home and forgot about it” skirt. I love finding old clothes and mixing them in with my new clothes, it’s such a surprise how well some of them work! I’ve been doing this quite a lot recently actually, and I think I’m going to do it more considering some other clothes I noticed today as I was unpacking (yessss I left it 5 days after I came home haha).
Also, I just wanted to throw out there this link to my feature on Fashion My Tights =) My hits have soared over the last two days, and I’m thinking it’s down to this + the Christmassy holidaysness (yes I’m making up words…again!)
