See I told you all I was still alive!! Again, I’ll say I’m sorrrrry for disappearing for so long, but I think I’ve managed to make it up with my first ever giveaway!
Also I just wanted to ask here, please could you vote for me for Blog of the Month on British Style Bloggers here, it would mean so much to me!!
I finally got my assignments in yesterday, so I’ve got until the end of January to pretty much do nothing =) I’m thinking about getting a headstart on a couple of assignments which don’t have to be in until May, but the work they’re based on is from last semester, so I might have forgotten it by then! I also know a few books I’m translating next semester so I might get hold of them and start translating so I’m ahead and won’t have to rush as much at the start of the semester =)
I usually work really hard with my academic things, but this year I’ve really tried to turn it up even more because I’ve now decided (I don’t know if I mentioned before) that I want to do a PGCE (post-grad certifcate of education… basically a teaching course) for Classics, but there are only two in the whole country, one in London and one in Cambridge. I really don’t think I’d suit London, I don’t know if I could cope with it! But the Cambridge one sounds really good, but there are only 16 places on it =/ So I really need to get a First to get onto it, hence the really hard work! Apparently I’m on track to a First anyway, but I need to stay there.
(not quite sure what’s going on with that last pic, but you can see my shoes haha!)
So anyway, I have been doing quite a bit of shopping recently =D I really shouldn’t be but I can’t help it! I got this dress, plus the one from my
last outfit post when I went shopping just before Christmas with my sister. She got a dress too that she wasn’t sure about, but I LOVED, so I made her buy it, but I think I may be giving her the money for it because I wear it all the time haha! Then I got the dress I wore for New Year and a top from H&M in the sales in Middlesborough with Ben after Christmas. Then I got a few things from American Apparel because Ben gave me a £50 voucher for there for Christmas =D I got a high-waisted skirt/strapless dress, a burgundy circle skirt and a green sash. And finallllly, I got the shoes I’m wearing today and a black velvet playsuit in the New Look sale online =/ I really shouldn’t buy so much, especially because Ben and I want a new sofa and that’ll be a lot of money gone in one go, but nevermind!
Burgundy Peter Pan Collar Dress: Topshop
Green Sash: American Apparel
Black Tights: M&S
Burgundy Bow Flats: New Look (sale: £5!)
I’m getting a lot of wear out of the 3 dresses I got with my sister already, and I love them so much, especially because they all have Peter Pan collars =D It seems it took England a little while to catch up on the trend because when I wanted one a couple of months ago they were difficult to find, but now they’re everywhere! In Topshop, they had this one in about 8 different colours; I really wanted a black one with a white collar or vice versa but they had none in my size, but I’m really liking this burgundy type colour at the moment =D
So I hope you’ll all enter my giveaway! Good luck to you all =DD
Love,
The colour of this dress on you is so fantastic. I love the blue sash on it.

Love love love the color of that dress! Enjoy your break – I just got done with a break from school and I absolutely hated going back, it’s always so easy to get into the “do whatever, have fun!” routine!

Cute dress, cute girl. I love your little sash! And the background is GORGEOUS. That’s one thing I dislike about America–we have NOTHING like that here!
Good luck with your academic adventures! I fully endorse being studious. Competitive programs are daunting, but really make you feel proud if you get into them, you know? Hehe.
This is such a pretty dress!
