Photos from yesterday again, and I forgot to put the numbers on them, but nevermind =). Anyway, Ben and I had pretty much a lazy day yesterday; we cooked a balti curry that we found on this magical website that was supposed to be authentic and took forever! We had to do base sauces and things, so we started cooking about 11 haha! It turned out really nice in the end though, although the base sauce, made up of a kilo of onions (!) looked and smelled absolutely horrid!
Day 12/30
In the afternoon we had a little break from the cooking, the sun came out and I decided we should go for a walk on the quayside. When we’d set off Ben said we should go to the Baltic which is an art gallery across the river that you can see from our window =)
I’d been wanting to go for a while so I was really happy! This happiness was short lived though because every level except level 2 (out of 6!) was closed, and there was only one exhibition there made up of about 5 pictures. But we still climbed 5 flights of stairs to the viewing platform where you can see out over the Tyne, the Millenium Bridge, the Tyne Bridge and whatnot. We’re planning another visit when they have more in though!
It’s got so much warmer recently it’s unbelievable! I actually went out without my coat yesterday! Okay, to be fair it’s only a ten minute walk, but still!!
