My new favourite summer outfit =D I felt so prettiful and summery in this dress and yellow cardigan! And also I love the way that yellow works with the lighter bits of my hair, yes, alright I’m obsessed with the ginger parts of my hair haha, I’m SO glad I did the ombre thing =) If you’re deliberating about it, seriously, just do it!

Not having such a good day so far today =( I had another bad night. Not sure if I’ve talked about it before but since I was a baby I’ve always had trouble sleeping, it was the bane of my parents’ lives all my life!! I’ve never needed much sleep, and so I’ll go to bed at normal time, like 10pm to 11pm but I usually don’t sleep until around 2-3am. But recently it’s got a lot worse, to the point where I can’t sleep until 5 or 6am, and now occasionally I don’t sleep at all. Last night was one of those. No sleep whatsoever, so I got out of bed with Ben at 7am. The annoying thing is that when I don’t sleep, he doesn’t sleep well either so we’re both grumpy at each other *sigh*.

Anyway, I absolutely love this dress. It’s the one I bought for New Years to be Audrey Hepburn, but when I bought it I thought it would be a lovely summer dress too, and…it is! I got complimented by 3 people on it that day, including my Greek teacher. And also a comment off a random stranger that was either “Watch your skirt” because it was a bit windy, or “Gorgeous skirt”. I like to think the latter but considering he was about 17 and smirking when he said it, I’m thinking it was the first. But don’t worry because it has an underskirt with netting so even if the top layer blows, you’d only see the underlayer!

My husband has issues with sleep…. he just doesn’t do it. There are a lot of natural things you can do to help encourage sleep. Not eating past 8 or 9, drinking camomile and/or lavender tea, and using a lavender oil before best (promotes rest).

GREAT idea tying the cardigan. It looks perfect with that gorgeous dress!

Lovely outfit – the yellow cardigan really brings out the yellow in the dress. Great blog, I’m following!
r.e. the sleeping, I often have trouble so I know how you feel, I find a warm bath (but not too hot or it makes your skin itch) and camomile tea can sometimes help 🙂

That dress is so pretty!! When I was really small, my mom made me a skirt with sunflower fabric with a matching hat. I still wish I had that skirt! It was really cute & this reminds me of it. :] You look amazing and very happy.

As for sleep, you might look at adding a melanin supplement to your routine. It’s a natural hormone that your body produces & you might not be producing enough of it. In the US, they sell melanin in the vitamin aisle, so you might check it out. When I’ve taken it, it didn’t give me that weird heavy sleep like a sleep aid, but a more natural sleep. It might help you! :]]
