Day 23/30

I really really liked wearing this outfit =) As I’ve mentioned before I absolutely love this skirt of Elizabeth’s and I still want to twirl every time I wear it, but I’ve also realised I love this grey roll neck jumper too recently. I used to only wear it for school (we had a dress code rather than uniform) but I think it can be remixed really well (in fact I just thought of another outfit for it out of 30 for 30 items buuuttt…the 30 for 30’s over now!! Yaaaayyy!!)

So I had a really nice day today with Rosie. Although we go to uni in the same city, we don’t get to see each other very much because our lectures always clash, so we’ve now arranged Wednesday as a lunch date (Fran included too but she was ill today). So we had lunch at Frankie and Benny’s (2 courses hee hee!), before Rosie had to rush off to the hairdressers. I decided I wanted to spend a £25 Peacocks voucher I had, so I popped off to Peacocks, story continues after some photos…

So I spend quite a while in there and picked out some things I liked, but I had a massive problem when I tried them on that was very much related to my post on Vanity Sizing the other day. I picked out all the clothes in either a size 8 or 10, which is normal for me in most shops, but upon trying on a pair of size 8 high-waisted shorts that I could quite easily take on and off while done up I realised I had a problem. In short, the sizes were massive. These size 8 shorts fitted me as if they were a size 14 and drooped down to my hips where they very nearly fell off. I still tried on the dresses, to no avail as they hung loosely off my fairly curvaceous frame, even loosely off my chest area which I usually have problems with because it is a lot larger compared to the rest of my body!

So I ended up not buying anything, but I met up with Rosie again afterwards, and without meaning to we went on a little impromptu shopping trip =) We went back to Peacocks and I bought some really cute shoes with the voucher, then had a look round a few other shops before Primark where I bought a dress and a playsuit. I’ve been wanting a summery playsuit for ages now for when we go to Florida in summer so I can wear it on all the rides in the parks haha!!

I love all the rich colors in this – the green sash and those tights go so well with the skirt!
