So this weekend I realized the Affordable Vintage Fair had come to Newcastle; some of you might remember I went to the one in York a while ago (see the post here) and I loved it, there were hundreds of vintage dresses, blouses, shoes and accessories, amazing! So I just had to go to this one (and it was only £1 for student entry here when it £4 in York!!). So I persuaded Ben to take me. And yes, of course I bought something, okay two things! But you’re only seeing the one today, the shoes.

Yes, they are grannified, but they are awesome. I’ve been looking for some daytime wearable height heels for a while now, but everything seems to be stiletto or massive wedge, which don’t get me wrong, I love, but I can’t wear them during the day. I spotted a stall with a few pairs of shoes, and I was looking at some but they were all size 7 or 8 so I was sad. But then I spotted these hidden under a shelf, tried them on, and they fitted like a glove. They didn’t have a price on though, so I took them to the stall owner, thinking they’d be like £25, too expensive, but…no, they were only £5!! I’m pretty sure they’ve barely been worn, and they fit perfectly =)

(A pretty awful photo of the Vintage Fair, I will get a good one one day, I promise!!)

Today was one of those days where I had no idea what to wear. I put on a Forever 21 dress, wore it for a few hours, but I just didn’t feel right in it. And if I don’t like what I’m wearing, I can’t get on with my day, anyone else get that? So I tried on a few more outfits before settling on this. Not something I’d usually wear, but I quite like it =)

And that’s all from me today, I managed to finish another essay over the weekend, now just one more 4000 word essay to go and about a week and a half to do it, but I want to get finished before because my exams start exactly 2 weeks today and I haven’t even had a chance to start revising yet. Oh and I now have the details for my charity shop challenge, but you’ll hear more about it nearer the time! In the meantime, if anyone has any charity shop/thrifting tips, please let me know them!!

You can’t go wrong with a polka dot blouse, love the outfit! And the shoes are very cute too- altogether a very stylish number 😉 I do that sometimes where I change outfits several times until I’m satisfied.. good luck with the studying! xx

Sian, you have the absolutely most gorgeous legs in the whole wide world. Your thighs are gorgeous, and I know that is about the weirdest thing to say ever!!
I am reassured now that we have practically the same vital statistics that maybe, just maybe I can look almost as good as you!! You definitely beat me on the thighs though, hands down!!
I love this blouse so much and good luck in the competition- that’s so exciting!!

Cute, cute, cute! The blouse is classic, the shorts have such a cool yoke waist, and the shoes are an incredible find…they look like they’d be so versatile, and I love the swirls in different tones at the heel.

Oh my gosh I’m the same way – if what I’m wearing doesn’t “feel right” I can’t get anything done and I change until I feel like I’m wearing the right thing!! Ha ha!

I said this on Chictopia, but those shoes are so cute! I’m a bit jealous. And those shorts are amazing… I’m looking for a good pair of high waisted shorts right now, but I’ve found they all gap on me, so I have to keep looking!

Well done on this outfit, you look so chic and summery!

I dig the shoes, I have a somewhat similar pair, and yours look great. Goodness, you have legs for miles! I’d feel positively naked in those shorts though haha, you are far braver than me dear lady.

I know what you mean about not feeling quite right until you’re wearing the right thing though. My outfit needs to make me happy before I’ll step out the door.
