A Great and Terrible Beauty

These are more of the photos from my and Beth’s photoshoot in the woods =) This set I decided to base on the trilogy of books I reviewed in a previous post by Libba Bray, the Gemma Doyle trilogy. It is set in the Victorian times, so of course a long skirt is necessary, however the girls in it do not always (in fact hardly ever!) act as they should do in that society. There are moments they spend running around the woods, improperly dressed for that era, so I felt the loosed hair and bare-footedness reflected that.

The last picture I think really manages to convey the atmosphere of the books, particularly the last one, with the sense of fear that runs through them. It took us a few attempts to get this picture right as apparently I run like a mad person, my feet were like sticking out the sides, or my legs were bent really weirdly haha!!
