So while my first post was more of a ‘no-Sian-talking’ post, because I would have ruined the effect of the beautiful pictures my sister took, this one is going to be slightly less poetic and quotey, but more based around the single quotation: “Curiouser and curiouser!” and on Alice being lost in Wonderland, confused and sad. (And also some posing on a bench just because!)
Alice Part 2
I thought I’d say a bit about our photo locations for these as well here. The first location, where all the photos in the first Alice post were taken (I wanted to link to it but it technically didn’t exist while I was writing this post because although it’s scheduled, the page doesn’t exist yet!!), anyway, the first location is a little grass area in the North York Moors National Park next to a stream with a bridge over it called Fairy Call Beck. There is a legend behind the name which all the people in the area seem to know, but I don’t know it! Oh the shame! Anyway, it obviously has something to do with fairies, and it is such a beautiful little spot, only about 3 miles from where I live. We live right on the edge of the North York Moors, it’s such a beautiful place =)
The second location, the woodland and bench photos, is a place called Keldy Forest again not very far from where I live. It’s actually the site of some holiday cabins, but they have lovely walks in the woods there so we go there quite a lot. In fact, this post back in October is from there, and this one last June too =) All the other photos we took that day are in various places around the woods. We actually came across quite a few people who gave us funny looks, our plan was to tell them we were shooting for Vogue, but the lack of lighting and fancy cameras gave us away!!
And a final behind the scenes shot, I felt a bit funny wandering round the woods in pretty clothes, covered up with a raincoat (yes, it rained at one point!) and wellies (it was a bit muddy in places!). Especially when I was wearing my maxi skirt and I had to hitch it up so the hem didn’t get muddy!!

Hi Sian! I’ve been loving your blog for so long now but have never commented. Your outfits give me so much inspiration!
I loved clicking the pictures to get larger detail. That was so great!!!
But now that can’t be done anymore?
Well, thanks 🙂
Haha, the hidden truth behind the pretty photos. These are lovely, and you’re so lucky living near such beautiful places! I can’t even leave the city in 3 miles of driving hah.
