Since getting my new camera in Florida, I’ve been taking photos, a lot of photos, believe me!! While some of them are awful because I’m just experimenting to find out what my camera can do, some are turning out alright!! So I have all these photos of randomness and not a lot to do with them, so I thought I’d start another new feature and show you all my everyday life that doesn’t (or sometimes does) get blogged.
1 + 2// My beautiful friend Charley and her sister Izzy. I’m tutoring Izzy in Ancient Greek and Latin, and Charley and I had afternoon tea complete with homemade scones, jam and whipped cream beforehand.
3// Brownie baked by Ben and I on Saturday for our barbecue dessert.
4// Preparing salads and sides for our barbecue.
5 + 6// Unblogged outfit from Wednesday (I think) consisting of Forever 21 top, Primark floral playsuit and OTK socks (complete with dog and cat hair, why I shouldn’t lay on the floor =S)
7,8,9,10// Fire basically! I was playing around with different settings etc, and trying out this technique when my dad made a fire a couple of nights ago.
11// Sunny afternoon yesterday (for once!), Beth playing guitar outside (look at her cute, freckly little hand!! Her freckles come out in the sun on all her joints =D)
12,13,14// Flowers, hoverflies and bumblebees in our garden using macro yesterday afternoon.
15// Lottie, the only willing subject for my photography!
16// My sunny day ‘outfit’, more of a sunbathing outfit actually.

It’s so cool that we have the same camera. I don’t know how good I am at tips, considering that when I first got it I didn’t even understand how the manual focus worked, but I will say that experimenting and practice help a lot. Also I found this book to be immensely helpful and inspiring.

I actually really enjoy this sort of thing. It’s a good way to get to know a person better, beyond their clothes and the little snippets of information they give us. Plus it’s just fun to see into other people’s lives. Or is that just me?
Those fire photos are BEAUTIFUL! Amazing.
