What I’ve Done This Week

Originally this was just going to be a post about a little trip I had to Scarborough, my local (by local I mean 25 miles away) seaside town to walk the dog with my Aunty who lives there. But I ended up actually remembering to take my camera somewhere with me for once, so when I went out for a meal with two of my old friends, Rosie and Helen, I actually managed to get some photos =)
So first, here are some (a lot – sorry!) photos from around Scarborough plus some sort of outfit photos!!

So the above are from the North Bay, with the castle, the beach houses and pretty seaside guesthouses.

The South Bay with the Royal Hotel, the real Scarborough Fair (!) and the candy floss, fish and chips and waffle shops. Yes, of course I had a waffle!! With chocolate sauce and masses of cream!!

Scarf: Republic (20th Birthday Present)
Cardigan: New Look
Dress: Republic
Leggings: George at Asda (recommend these over any others!!)
Knee Socks (rolled down): New Look
Walking Boots!!
How lovely are these beach huts?! They’re so cute and colourful =) My auntie used to rent one in the summer when we were little and we’d go and play on the beach with my cousins =D I reeeeally want to go next summer with my favourite swimming costume and do some photos in front of them, so 50s!! The dress I’m wearing here has been gone for a while, visiting Charlotte as part of the Lovely Ones and you can see how she wore it here. I was wearing it far more interestingly, using it as a top with a skirt over it, but apparently that wasn’t appropriate cold windy beach wear so I put leggings on instead =D

And some photos from last night when I went for a Cantonese with Rosie and Helen – and Rosie had told me beforehand she hadn’t got much of a tan!! She’s been away for a week, with a couple of cloudy days apparently, whereas I’ve been away for 3 weeks with not a single cloudy day and I look positively ghostly compared to her!! I love meeting up with these two, and we seem to spend the whole time talking about weddings even though none of us are even engaged haha =D

And finally, the reason why this post has taken me forever to write..I fell down the stairs this morning and bashed my wrist on the banister, spent the morning having x rays, and yes, it is broken =( Well the bone is splintered anyway. At least I don’t have to have a pot on it, but this thing isn’t particularly attractive and I’m not sure how it’s going to work with the new dress I got today for going out for my birthday =S
Love,

Youch you poor thing! Hope it mends quickly. Love the first photo of the little beach huts in Scarborough, and it’s always nice to see pics of a blogger out and about enjoying herself with friends (not just outfit photos :p) xx

I love those beach huts! Too cute! I hope your arm heals soon though, that really sucks. Knowing you, you will find an imaginative way to incorporate it into your outfit posts though! xo

I’m so sorry to hear about your wrist, I hope you mend up soon! Poor Sian, so accident prone 🙁 Be more careful lady!

Those little multicoloured beach huts are so cute. Those green cliffsides are so amazing, there’s nothing like that here.

I’ve never been to Scarborough before. It looks so pretty, and like you had fun 🙂 I am sorry to hear about your arm. I have to have surgery on my slightly broken ankle soon, and I’m not at all looking forward to it!
