I just wanted to share with you a few more things about my 21st birthday, from the actual day, and then I’ve got some evening photos from Saturday too (yes, I do spread my birthday out, Ben teases me for it!!). So these photos are from Thursday, and you can tell what ridiculously warm weather we’ve been having from them!! My mum, sister and I had planned to go the cinema on my birthday, but when the day before was pretty warm we thought the beach might be nicer, and we were definitely right, with temperatures of nearly 30*c, I’m very glad we didn’t go to the cinema!!
This beach is about a 45 minute drive from where I live, just on the other side of Whitby, called Sandsend. Usually at this time of year there’d probably be about 3 people on the beach walking their dogs, wrapped up in wellies, coats and scarves. On Thursday there were about a hundred people, in swimsuits, in the sea, sunbathing, it was crazy!! We walked over the (very slippery!) rocks and played with the dog before we nearly got cut off by the sea and headed back over them to the actual beach. It was so sunny and hot, crazy!
Sunglasses: Accessorize
Lemon Print Dress: Primark
Gladiator Sandals: Market Stall in Greece
It got too hot, so we ended up having to go for ice creams! Above you can see mine, rum and raisin with cinder toffee ice cream and two flakes, one of which he gave to me for free when my mum mentioned it was my birthday!! (She’ll talk to anyone about everything – when we met Neville Longbottom at our local cinema she started talking to him about the weather =D). But it got me a free flake so all was good!
In the evening we had Ben’s family round for a take away, and my uncle with his fiancee and my baby cousin came round with my present too. Mollie’s almost walking now, can you believe it?! I also got to open all my presents in the evening =D My main present was my trip to Greece, but I also got lots of lovely things from my parents like Italian designer shoes (yay! They’ll appear soon!), a charm for my 18th birthday charm bracelet, chocolates, tights and all sorts. My sister gave me a really pretty necklace, some sweets and she painted a picture of Belle from Beauty and the Beast for me! I’m going to have it framed because it’s so lovely =) Ben gave me a watch (which I can’t wear yet because of my silly wrist) and matching necklace, a book, and a remote for my camera. Then I got all sorts of things from friends and family including a new lens and tripod from Ben’s family, lots of Cath Kidston bags, jewellery and lovelllly things =D So basically I had an amazing birthday!!

Gorgeous dress, the weather and the ice cream look lovely and I totally get you when it comes to mothers talking to anyone about anything. My mom can’t get out of the house without coming back without some story about what happened when she started talking to a random dude at the grocery store. 😀 And that kid is the most adorable kid I’ve ever seen (except for my nieces of course!). I need to squeeze her cheeks!
