Wow, I’ve been gone nearly a week!! What with this cold I’ve had (and another that’s appeared today) and all the Christmas celebrations, I’ve barely had time to sit down and look at my laptop, plus the fact that another charger I had to buy is breaking too: it has to be in a certain position and if I move my laptop a centimetre, it comes out and the laptop switches off!! Since I tend not to sit at a desk or table for working and blogging, this has not been conducive!!
Anyway, Merry Christmas everyone!! This is my Christmas Eve post – we do a little sort of family gathering on Christmas Eve every year (you can see last year’s here), usually at my grandma’s, but this time it was at our house, and we also had the other side of the family over too, so we had a total of 19 people round (would have been 21 but 2 of my cousins couldn’t come on the night). Added to that were 3 dogs, and my baby cousin of course. Unfortunately I was so busy spending the day making food for the evening I didn’t get time for proper outfit photos, so the above is one of the only ones I managed!!
These are just a few of our creations for our Christmas Eve buffet!! Ben and I made goats’ cheese, red onion and pesto tartlets, mushroom and stilton tartlets, several different types of bruschetta, salmon and cream cheese on ciabatta, and some amazing filo and chocolate rolls (I’m so upset I forgot to take a photo of them!!).
So all in all it was a lovely evening! I spent most of the time playing with Mollie, my baby cousin (she’s a year old now, can you believe it?!). And she did 3 steps at our house too, which I managed to miss despite playing with her for ages, it was the 5 minutes I was out of the room!!
Dress: c/o Mina UK
Green Tights: Primark
Sparkly Peep Toes: George at ASDA
I’d been saving this dress by not wearing it for a while because I planned to wear it on Christmas Eve. I went for the green tights to festive it up a bit, and the sparkly shoes (which are new…oops!).
And a final photo of my sister and I all ready for bed on Christmas Eve – me in my nightie from M&S outlet haha!! We always do a little sleepover on Christmas Eve then open our stocking presents together in the morning before heading downstairs – but that’s coming up in my Christmas Day post, so stay put and I’ll be back with that soon (hopefully! If this laptop will behave – it’s switched off twice while writing this!!).
oh my gosh, I love that dress!
also, I was telling my auntie and uncle- who are from leeds- about your dad’s christmas pudding and they’ve heard of your dad’s bakery! famous friends!
ps. I miss you!
