If you noticed the title of this post and of my last outfit post (School Teacher), you might realise that I have been promoted, well in my sister’s estimations that is!! With the outfit I wore last time apparently I was a school teacher, but now I’m a headmistress – although I thought I looked more like a student, especially once I’d put my duffel coat on haha!! The skirt is one of the eBay purchases I mentioned – I’d been on the lookout for a tartan skirt after discovering that my mum got rid of my sister’s one that I used to wear, when this one appeared right in front of me, so I couldn’t say no! And the shoes are the flat pair that I got in the Office sale, and weirdly the most expensive pair at £15 I believe, but that was reduced from £65, so pretty good I thought!
Headmistress
I’m finding it a bit difficult taking my outfit photos at the moment because my camera is still away. Canon have now told me that apparently it isn’t under warranty in the UK, after I’d already sent it off, and I’ve now been sent an invoice for £162, which is almost half of what we paid for the camera less than 6 months ago!! I’m hoping to either work out a way for it be under warranty (Canon is an international company, so I think it really should be under warranty anywhere, whether I bought it in the US or the UK), or I’m going to have to send it over to the US to get fixed there for free under the warranty, but pay the shipping costs and probably have to wait a very long time. I don’t see why it isn’t under warranty here though, it’s less than 6 months old and really shouldn’t break in that time, I’ve been so careful with it, it’s my most prized possession, and yet it broke. Basically I’m not happy. But my dad has let me use his camera at the moment which is pretty good, but I’m just not used to it, so my photos aren’t quite up to scratch.

Oh and thank you everyone who has shown interest in the Book Swap – I’m going to be sending out an email to you all soon, I’m just waiting to see if I get any more interest in it first! For the time being though, if you ask around and let other people know about it, that would be brilliant!! I have a few people who want to do it but not quite yet, so a few more for now would be great!!
lovely look 😉
Bummer about your warrant problems. I once received a package from Russia to Canada in 8 days, so maybe it would be worth paying extra for rush shipping and getting free US repairs?
That’s so lame about Canon. You would think they would bend over backwards to make sure the customer’s experience was a good one.
love that skirt! so cute!
and that stinks about your camera:( I’ve only just started having problems with my Nikon, but it’s about 6 years old, so I guess that’s understandable lol. Cannon should absolutely count it under their warranty – they need to back up their product!
cute outfit, loved the knit sweater !

That skirt is too cute! And that’s unfortunate about the camera, I hope you can get it figured out…
I can’t seem to comment in your blog without hitting ‘reply’ on another comment. What is going on???!! You look lovely. Sorry you had bad luck with the camera– but your outfit photos still look really great 🙂 I would have to say you look more like the school girl than the head- and that’s meant in the best way possible. This skirt is killer cool! xx
wow, you look so pretty and inspiring ^^
just lovely!

Thank you so much for your sweet comment on my anniversary outfit post. It was a lovely message to wake up to this morning. 🙂
Ooh I’m sorry about your camera. That’s awful, and to know how much you’re being bounced around – terrible. I have a Canon as well – prized possession and I don’t know what I’d do if it broke!
Your outfit is adorable – LOVE the skirt!! Tartan is amazing. It was everywhere in the US over the holidays but I’ve been struggling with styling it in a way that isn’t too Christmas-y. This look is perfect!
