School Teacher

I thought up this outfit yesterday morning, so went up and laid it out to wear today, came downstairs again, checked on Blogger and saw that Charlotte had a new outfit post up, took a look at hers and realised it was basically the same outfit I’d just laid out upstairs!! Check out hers here. Clearly great minds think alike!! I’ve used Charlotte’s outfits as inspiration several times before, but this is the first time I’ve ever stolen someone’s outfit before even knowing they were wearing it haha =D

I’ve been seeing a lot of bloggers work the white shirt with black ribbon look recently and thought I should probably try it! Unfortunately I was told my each and every member of my family and Ben on separate occasions that I looked like a school teacher in this outfit. Clearly they’re still not used to my outfits because my dad’s reaction as soon as I got home was: “Have you been out? You look like you’ve been to a children’s party, weird!” Very similar reactions from the rest of the family too!!

White Shirt: Marks and Spencers (kids)
Dress: New Look
Tights: New Look
Heels: Office (sale)
Yes, okay, the shoes are new…as are 3 other pairs!! It was my Twitter followers’ faults, and Facebook friends!! I posed the question to them of which shoes to buy with four options, and the unanimous vote was for all four!! Fortunately they were all under £10, even though 3 pairs are heels =D They were all in the Office  January sales, although I spotted that one pair had gone down a further £1.60 after I’d bought them, luckily out of my size though. I might do a post just to show the shoes haha!! Oh and these photos were taken with my mum’s camera – I’m so sad not to have mine, but I’m making do with a point and shoot, it feels very strange though, not focusing it etc.

Such a sweet outfit! The dress is adorable and I always love red tights 🙂

Daisy print! 😀 Haha, I love that dress. Your tights are an awesome color too. Love how you styled it. Cute teacher look 😉

Yes, it does look familiar! Hahaha. I love the dress. It’s so cute and it fits you so well. It’s nice to see that summer dresses can successfully be styled in the winter. And I don’t think school teachers have as rockin’ legs as you do!

I don’t think you look like a school teacher at all or anything? Weird. You look really pretty and put together. I bought myself some black platform suede stilettos last weekend that I’m loving lately but 4 pairs of shoes would be wicked! Lucky you!

I love this outfit! What a cute dress (haha I hate people who call everything ‘cute’ but this dress really is) and love how you paired it with the tights! You have hot legs 😀 Haha whenever I don’t wear boring jeans and t-shirt I get comments from my family, you get used to it 🙂 They comment on my clothes (“that looks like grandma’s skirt”), my hair and accessories(“You look like the cleaning lady with that scarf on your head”) and everything else (“WHY are you wearing red lipstick for god’s sake??”) Parents, gotta love them 😀 xx

I obviously love this outfit! Great minds, eh?
I absolutely adore the addition of the shoes and tights. Those shoes are amazing!
