I have some, hopefully, good news!! My camera, which you will all be sick of hearing me complain about and which has been sat in a shop waiting to be repaired for 2 months, may be getting repaired under warranty in the UK!! After 5 phone calls to Canon UK, several unanswered emails, several answered emails to Canon US (I got much quicker replies from them) and even a long phone call to Canon US (that’s gonna cost me =(), they’ve finally said they’ll take a look at it in the UK and try to honour the warranty. Canon UK told me at one point that Canon US would refund whatever I paid to have it fixed in the UK, as long as I sent them a valid proof of purchase, but when I asked them about this they had never heard of it. It took another 2 phone calls and 3 emails for them to tell me to send it to the US, but wait! They wouldn’t receive parcels from the UK, so I had to have a relative in the US receive it, send it to the factory, then get it back, then send it back to me…and what relative would that be?! But finally, when I told them it was virtually impossible, Canon UK told me to send it to their centre and they’d try to fix it under warranty. I’m pretty annoyed, and even had a little angry breakdown about it last night because I was so stressed and I’d spent an hour of time when I could have been doing my work talking to Canon, but finally it’s (hopefully!) getting sorted. Although I’d better not get my hopes too high =/
Right, camera venting over. Outfit time!! This outfit is actually from yesterday, because, yet again, scheduled post. I have to do my posts in whatever time I can possibly squeeze in, so when I get a chance I schedule loads. Anyway, I haven’t worn this skirt very much, even though it’s very pretty. I absolutely love midi skirts, but I always find them really difficult to wear because they can easily be unflattering, but for this one I took inspiration from Michelle, she always wears midi skirts really well, and has a mustard one quite similar to this that I love on her!! But this particular outfit was inspired by this one:
Mine is kind of the backwards version of it, with the blue and polka dots on top and the yellow on the bottom!! I really liked the idea of wearing a shirt dress underneath it and was sulking that I didn’t have one, until I remembered that, actually I do!! The collar and polka dots you can see poking out from underneath the cardigan is actually an amazing vintage shirt dress that I bought a while ago when shopping with my sister. I’ve worn it quite a lot of times, but strangely never photographed it!! It’s actually a few sizes too big, I think it’s a US 12 or something (several sizes too big then!!), but it’s been shortened, and the style of it means once it has a waist belt on, it looks absolutely fine.
Cardigan: Zara
Polka Dot Dress: Vintage
Belt: Zara
Skirt: Primark
Shoes: Vintage
And by the way, I’m actually wearing the skirt backwards!! You can see here it actually has buttons down the front, but I’m not wearing it backwards for some cool blogger reason – it’s actually because I spilled soup down it, but I liked the outfit, didn’t need to go out again today and was too lazy to change haha =D Woops!! But I like it this way, I might wear it like this more often, although it probably looks weird from the back…
Love,
Such a nice look – I really like the cardigan! 🙂
That is a lovely skirt!! And I love your polka dot top – even more so because it’s really a dress! Good luck with your camera. Haha, I always want/try to do outfit photos early in the day, because I will inevitably spill something on myself.
I adore this outfit. Everything is so chic! X

Just found you through Michelle, I love your unexpected mix of color! Good luck with your camera situation!
Lovely outfit! Ever since (finally) acquiring a mustard blouse, I am far more into mustard in other outfits and in other items. I guess I just needed to know it to love it hah. It’s such a bummer you have to go through all that stress to get your camera fixed, I really do hope it’s back in your hands and functioning properly soon without too much more time or cost to you. *hug*
