This is a confession: guys, I shopped yesterday…the shopping ban is over. Well, I lasted 4 weeks, so I technically did do a month!! But I have a good reason that I have, not intentionally, being keeping quiet from you all: I have an interview today for work experience for Newcastle Fashion Week. There’ll be a team of around five people, I believe, who help to organise and are available at the events (I’ll know more about it after this afternoon!). I had an email last week to tell me I’d got through to the next stage and would need to come for an interview, so that’s where I’m going today with this new outfit! In the email she said there’d been an overwhelming amount of interest in it, so it sounds like I’ve been lucky even to get to this stage!! So I’m not sure how much of a chance I’ve got, but I might as well give it a go! And I’m going to try and get some ideas across to them about getting bloggers involved while I’m there, so wish me luck!!
I haven’t actually had many professional interviews before, but I’m surprisingly un-nervous (yeh, totally made up that word!). I think it might be because I’m planning to talk about my blog, blogging in general and fashion, which I can actually talk about at length, so I’m very excited!!
And let me tell you something about this outfit: it is made up entirely of Primark items! I feel a little silly, and I hope they don’t ask where anything is from haha =D Nothing wrong with Primark though, I feel like you have to dig around to find the good quality items, and I’ve done that here. This jacket is amazing, it feels so well made and has a beautiful fit. The dress too is a lovely thick material. The shoes, of course, are cheaply made, but I had some like this a couple of years ago that I wore so much I destroyed, so I had to get some more as soon as I saw the £6 price tag! And look, I’m wearing a statement necklace!! That was one of my resolutions, and I really like this one, again from Primark, only £4.
Really no point in me listing the clothes, they’re all from Primark!! But again, horrible indoor photos, sorry again. You’ll get a rant in tomorrow’s post (already scheduled!) about my camera and Canon.
Now I’d better go because I’m trying to eat leftover tagine while blogging and I need to set off in 15 minutes!! Oha and trying not to ruin the make up that I actually did properly today, and not spill food on my outfit as I usually do!!
Wish me luck!!
