This isn’t something I would usually post about, and when I saw people sharing this video all over Facebook I thought it was just another silly viral video that was going to be pointless. But then I watched it, and I changed my mind. I know it’s half an hour long, but instead of watching some other programme on TV or something, watch this instead, I promise it will have an impact on you. We are now in an age of computers where almost anything is possible by the sheer power of the internet. So watch this video, share it, make sure everyone you know watches and shares it too. Something like this can make a difference, just over the last couple of hours, I’ve seen my friends on Facebook from all over globe, all different spheres of my friends: friends from uni, friends from home, blog friends, friends from trips or courses I’ve done, I’ve seen friends from all these different places watch and share this video in the space of a couple of hours. If that can happen amongst people just I know in that space of time, think of the impact it could have over more time and among different people. So just take that small amount of your time to watch it. I even carried on doing my work while I watched it. Then share it. Do what you can to make a difference, because now, even one person on the internet can make a difference.
Love,
I’m doing a post on this later today too 🙂 I was completely speechless when I finished watching the video.
Have a read of this too though – http://visiblechildren.tumblr.com/
I think the awareness IC have raised is great, but I’m not so sure about their proposed plan of action. I don’t really know enough about the issue to really understand what a viable solution would be but I just found that visible children article interesting as well as another side of the story.
I also think it’s important to share!
