As I mentioned the other day, I really wanted to try some Topshop lipstick – I’ve seen it on so many blogs, and I swear I read somewhere that it’s made by MAC (but don’t hold me to that!!), so I was really excited to try it. I’ve got really into lipstick recently, after thinking it didn’t suit me for the longest time, just because I was wearing the wrong shades for my skin. I’m still not sure about the whole warm tones and cool tones think and what my skin is, I’m pretty sure mine changes!! But I’ve experimented with several different shades now to find several that do suit me, and I now wear either lipstick or lip stain (like the Gosh one) every single day that I wear make up, sometimes it’s just a very light covering, sometimes I’ll go thick. I’m most drawn to an orangey-red, and I have a couple of these, but I also like pink at the moment for Spring.
So I’d seen this one on the Topshop website and I thought it looked very pretty; it also had good reviews, so when I spotted it in the shop, I grabbed it straight away. I was also immediately drawn to the packaging, so pretty!! And the name, I can’t resist something with the word ‘magical’ in it =D In the tube it looks very Barbie-ish, if that makes sense!! It looks a bright pink with sparkly bits in, almost like a lip gloss in a tube. When applied, it gives a pretty sheen to the lips, again a bit like a lip gloss, but it also has a nice pink tint, not very bright at all like it appears in the tube, and the sparkle is very minimal, which is good because I didn’t want too much sparkle!! I did do a swatch on my arm, but it doesn’t show up very well, and the pictures of my lips turned out horribly, so you’ll just have to see it as part of an outfit post!! It’s definitely a very good everyday lip tint, it seems quite moisturising and is a very pretty pink colour that’s not over the top at all. It costs £9 (but I got student discount), and for me that’s quite expensive for make up, but I really liked it, so I had to get it. The other lipsticks in Topshop retail for £8, and I also got one of those, and I’ll be reviewing that soon too =)

Love,

I won’t lie – the main reason I really want this is the cuteness of the packaging! I really like the look of the actual colour too though! x
