Wedding Dreams

I think I’ve probably mentioned before, but my Uncle is marrying his fiancee soon (they’re the ones who have my baby cousin Mollie), and my sister and I are to be bridesmaids for Karen. We’ve been a few times with her now trying on our dresses, looking at her dress and at her Hen Weekend. And right now I’m watching Four Weddings (if you’ve never watched it, watch it!! It can be pretty hilarious!), so today I thought it would be fun to do a little posts on dream weddings!
Isn’t it every girl’s dream to plan a big wedding, even if it’s not exactly what she wants? It’s just fun to do it!! And it’s far too easy to get planning them with Pinterest nowadays, you can’t get more through more than 5 pins on there without seeing a wedding related one. So ever since I’ve had Pinterest (you can find me on there here) I’ve had a wedding board that I’ve been adding slowly too, I’ve even planned my dream dress on there!! I’ve even come across things that I wouldn’t have even thought of until I actually started planning, such as inexpensive wedding invitations like these:

I also love the novelty type ones, and I think these ones I found on Pinterest are just amazing and so cute:
Tie the Knot Save the Date. Such a cool idea!
Do you like to plan your wedding too, even if you’re not planning on getting married for a good long time?? I have one friend who never wants to get married, but still loves to plan mine (even though that isn’t happening yet either haha!!). Just you wait until I actually am getting married, then you’ll have endless posts about dresses, decor and planning!!
Love,

    I am engaged but I haven’t done any planning yet… I change my mind SO often so I’ll wait until we set a date and then I think I’ll turn into a MAD planning woman! ha ha 🙂

    Danny and I decided we’re just going to go to Las Vegas and have a really cheap, funny wedding on the strip and then go to Disneyland!! It will cost less than $500 that way and I don’t have to worry about things other than finding a cute wedding dress (I’m actually going to buy mine soon!) I originally kind of wanted a wedding like my sister’s — she had a big traditional wedding, but I realized that’s not very me. I just wanted something little! And quirky!

    I do love wedding planning though — just not for myself. Is that weird? Probably. Haha :}

    Is this ‘friend’ Charley by any chance…..? Aha!

    Me and our other housemate Zoe keep teasing her by planning her wedding, she hates us ;D

    I love invitations and those tie the knot ones are so loely. My bestie just gave out her save the dates, they were beautiful! She got pencils with their names and date of the wedding on and then they had tags on saying “will you pencil us in”. I can not wait for the real invites- they are going to be impressive!!

    I loved planning my wedding. I had a whole binder filled with magazine cut outs and what not. So much fun.

    I have actually never ever thought about my possible wedding, not even when I was little. It was just never something that particularly interested me. Maybe it’s because I didn’t attend my first wedding until I was 19, and even then, it was super religious and dry (not even wine!) so kinda boring and weird. I don’t really ever want to get married, and if I did, it would be a marriage in name only… neither religious nor legal ties would be involved.

    Oh those tying the knot ones are so adorable!

    I’m getting married next year. I’ve been engaged for 3 years now and at first I went mad buying all the magazines and creating a file. After a few months, the novelty just wore off and now I have only bought my shoes in preparation. I’m starting to panic about just how much I have to do in such little time!

    Well, it’s still a good thing that you already have plans even if it’s not yet happening… Plus, you have a friend that’ll surely help when the right time comes. I haven’t made an account on Pinterest but I think your idea on using online resources will work. Women should make this as their inspiration. 🙂
