Review: Soap & Glory Cheekmate in Rosy Glow

This is another one of the make up items I bought in the Boots 3 for 2 offer, and this is what I’m supposed to be sharing with my sister: the Soap & Glory Cheekmate Cheek and Lip Stain in Rosy Glow. It costs £8 (although we paid less because of the offer). I noticed only recently that Soap & Glory started doing make up – they’re a brand I’ve always loved for their pretty retro style packaging and amazingly scented products. I was given some as a present years ago and was sad when I finished it all, so as soon as I saw the make up, I knew I had to try at least one thing from it!! As usual, their packaging did not let me down, sooo pretttty =D And I’m pretty sure it has a nice scent, but unfortunately I haven’t been able to smell anything since I bought it so I’m not sure (fyi, just been to the Drs and it turns out it’s a sinus infection or sinusitis – on antibiotics now, so hopefully it’ll clear up soon!!). The formula itself is quite thick, a slightly sticky gel. It’s very easy to squeeze onto your fingertips and apply to your face or lips. As you might be able to see from the photos, it produces a lovely flushed sort of colour on the skin. And it gives a natural sort of colour to the lips, with a slight raspberry-ish sort of stain colour. I haven’t used it properly yet, but only tested it, but so far it seems pretty long lasting and isn’t too bright – perfect for everyday wear and I imagine could be built up for a darker shade/brighter colour for evening wear.
