Early post today! Firstly because I want to get it out the way so I can get on with revision, and secondly because I have to go into uni to pick up an essay, so I’m waiting for the office to open, and to take some library books (and pay off my fines so I can graduate!) too.
It’s actually too hot for this outfit now =O *shock* *horror*! I wore it the other day and never got round to posting it – I was actually waiting to do the other half of the post – I got this bodysuit from the lovely people of Vedette and I’m doing a day-to-night look with it. This is my day part! The night part will be coming soon, once I get home and get access to all my clothes, seriously, I have about 20 clothes up here (ok, maybe I bought a few pieces too the other day…), so outfits are not at their most creative right now!!
So, what do you think of a bodysuit being worn as outerwear? I hope you like it because I’ve got at least two more posts of it coming up!! Vedette’s tagline for this programme is ‘I’ve got nothing to hide’ and I think that’s awesome – such pretty pieces of clothing shouldn’t be hidden =) I adore the lace on this bodysuit. And also the fact that it’s shapewear means it gives a smooth curve to my hips/waist – in fact it does this so well that it was pretty difficult to get on and off, this one doesn’t have a zip/clasps/anything to do it up with, it’s just pull-on/off, which means that I have to get the bit that compresses my waist over my hips, which are a good 10 inches bigger!! But once on, it’s amazing, and definitely does take inches off, in fact the skirt I’d planned to wear it with, I couldn’t because it was too big when wearing this!!
Sunglasses: Primark
Necklace: c/o Eclectic Eccentricity
Bodysuit: c/o Vedette
Skirt: Primark (similar here)
Shoes: New Look
The skirt might be new too…I bought it when I was shopping with my friends last week in Primark, of course! I actually bought this one, then my friend tried one on in New Look that was very similar except longer at the back and slightly shorter at the front, so I had to try it too, and I was very close to swapping mine for that one, until I noticed the £12 difference between them and decided to stick with Primark!! I’ve been wanting a dipped hem chiffony skirt for ages, but just never made the plunge to buy one, but now I have, yay! I wore this getting ready for the wedding on Saturday too (by the way, if you’re interested in seeing any of those photos, I’ve started editing them and uploading them to Flickr but I’ll post about it sometime too).
The shoes are New Look and from last year – I really wanted a pair of flatforms last year, but Topshop was the only place that had seemed to catch on with them then, so I settled for these that were almost there but not quite, but I do really love them. They’re almost a proper wedge but more comfortable – I’ve worn these all day long on several occasions, including for shopping, and I haven’t had a single problem with them, it’s just a shame they have to wait for summer to be worn!
Right then, I’m going to get dressed (still wearing my dressing gown right now haha!) and get myself into town, think I’ll walk today because the weather’s so nice, but we’ll see how heavy these library books are, then it’s back to revision again.
That is a lovely outfit.
It definitley works as a day time outfit.
I got to get me that skirt!
Enjoy the sun (before it starts pissing it down).

What a beautiful outfit, I LOVE the skirt!
I didn’t realize it was a bodysuit until I read your comments about the outfit. Could have fooled me! It looks great though! (But not having a clasp could get uncomfortable after a while)
Amazing outfit, I’m totally in love with your skirt! <3

The shirt is gorgeous! The bodysuit doesn’t even look like one, shame it’s too hot for it now though
