This is my final Jubilee (red/blue) themed outfit! This is what I wore on the Tuesday Bank Holiday, although I actually ended up (kind of) working!! We decided to go through to a local town, Helmsley, where they were having a celebration in the market place with lots of random things like fancy dress competitions, stalls and chalk drawing on the ground (I drew a horse if you’re interested, it’s mane and tail were neon pink with green highlights!). As I think I’ve mentioned before, my family has a bakery business, so we popped through to the Bakery in Helmsley to see my dad before going down to the market place. At the moment he’s kind of in a lot of pain, he broke his ribs when falling from the top of his pizza oven he was fixing (my family isn’t exactly normal!), and he was supposed to be helping out on a stall we had in the market place, but was in a lot of pain and very stressed, so I offered to help out instead:

And here’s me working on the stall in a ‘Thomas the Baker’ apron (you can just about see the logo!). This was the only actual picture they got of me working, and it’s not the best!! But we were doing free cupcake and biscuit decorating for the kids, so I had to set up and help out with that, and is was actually quite a lot of fun, and kept me warm haha!!

Coat: Miss Selfridge (similar here)
Scarf: Republic
Jumper: H&M (similar here)
Blouse: ASOS (exact one)
Rucksack: Primark (similar here)
Shorts: c/o Room 31
Flats: Primark
I’m not a big fan of this outfit – I’d really wanted to wear these shorts as actual, you know, summer shorts, but as the weather as it is right now (ie. pouring down), that ain’t gonna be happening any time soon, well, until I get to Turkey!! They just don’t really work with a jumper and coat, they looked a bit better when it was just with the blouse, but it was way too cold for that and I didn’t have a clean cardigan that worked. But never mind, it’s all a learning experience isn’t it!
Again out with the rucksack! I think you’ll be seeing a lot of this bag, I often forget to include them in my outfit posts because I’m usually not using a bag at the time I take outfit photos, but with this one I might actually remember!!
I’m going down to London (or thereabouts) this weekend for a friend’s 21st, and I might get to spend a bit of time in London while I’m there (yay!). This means possibly shops (although I’ll be with Ben so probably not) and maybe museums (again, more towards the not, but I’m booking the trains so there will be London time hee hee).

I love your backpack, it’s so cute! I really want a woven one! And I totally know what you mean about “summer shorts not actually being summer shorts.” That always happens to me with dresses, so I have to layer and layer and my dress is just like, invisible underneath all the sweaters and scarves. But layers rock! And I like your tights under the shorts!

Awesome blog! And thanks for you comment on mine, much appreciated!

You can come to CA because it’s hot here!! LOL. Those shorts are super cute, even if you have to dress them warmly. And I love that cute little accessory in your hair. Is it a hat? And it’s really cool your parents work in a bakery. Sounds kind of fun. 🙂 Thanks so much for visiting my blog and for your sweet comment! <3

Ehhh if the shorts are cute like those I say they warrant a place in your rotation year round! Rocking them with black tights and colorful flats makes for brilliance =) I’m also a big fan of wintertime shorts with mid calf boots. Lookin’ forward to seeing your next outfit

Loving the red, blue and white for the jubilee. I picked up that exact same bag in primark but then put it down, but seeing how cute it looks on you, I may have to go back! Hope your dad gets well soon and it was nice of you to help out on the stall. Have a great time in London, will look forward to reading about it, from your newest follower 🙂
