I’ve Got Nothing To Hide – The Outfit

This is my last set of outfit photos from the churchyard in Newcastle! It’s quite sad because it’s the end of an era. It was in this churchyard that my blog really began to develop and evolve into what it is today. I first starting taking outdoor outfit photos (sort of) in public there, and learnt how to really use my camera. I did recently get someone comment that it was disrespectful to be taking pictures there, but I had a bit of a backlash from my regular readers because they didn’t feel it was. I can totally understand what they were getting at, but then again, it isn’t a ‘cemetery’, it’s a churchyard, and more of a historical site. The graves are up to 300 years old, it’s really not much different from taking pictures of monuments or graves in Ancient Greece (and none of you complained about that!). It’s a peaceful area in the middle of the city, it’s used for walking dogs in, people sit in it in summer to relax. I remember when I first moved there I was a bit scared of looking out onto a graveyard every morning, but ended up loving it because it meant I could see trees and green grass every day instead of roads and buildings. It’s not like I used the graves as props for my photos, I’ve seen bloggers who’ve climbed on top of gravestones just for a good photo! In fact I’m reluctant to even walk over a grave, even if it’s difficult to not walk over one! So I really appreciated having this little space to do my pictures in every day, and I’m anxious to find a place as good from now on.

Bodysuit: c/o Vedette
Cardigan: Topshop (similar here)
Skirt: Missguided (similar here)
Flats: New Look
This is the outfit from my Vedette video. I couldn’t quite figure out what I was going to wear for this outfit to start with – I’d taken a lot of my clothes home, including all the skirts I’d planned in my head that would work with it, and I didn’t want to wear jeans, then the idea to wear this one just hit me! I think it works really well with the ‘I’ve Got Nothing To Hide’ campaign too because it shows my figure and the bodysuit off really well =)
I’ll be back soon, with another Jubilee themed outfit! You’re going to get fed up of me posting so much now! Seriously, I keep scheduling posts because I feel like I might not have time to do them later, but it gets to later and I realise I don’t have exams to revise for or translations to do and end up editing more photos or scheduling another post! I’m going away in a couple of weeks so I have a few lovely bloggers prepared to post for me and hopefully I’ll be able to schedule some too, so I promise, the blog won’t be boring over summer!!
So, I’ve changed around the background on my blog now and changed the header too, and what do you think? I’m not sure of the background but at the moment it’s just sort of standing in while I search a bit. I wanted something less fussy than my floral one so that the header would stand out, but white was just too bright and white for me! Let me know if you have any suggestions, I’d love to hear them!

I love these photos! I don’t really see that it’s disrespectful taking photos there, like you say it’s not like you’re climbing on the gravestones, and I doubt it’s bothering the occupants anyway – if anything I’d think they’d be glad of a bit of company!
You look amazing in this outfit 🙂

I commented a few posts ago saying that i felt it was disrespectful. After you explaining its not actually a cemetery i would like to retract my statement. The thing is i am 20 years old and have had a lot of bad experiences with people disrespecting the cemetery where my mum is buried. I have have pots stole from her grave and seen people weeing in the cemetery and i am rather touchy about people using it as more than a place to pay there respects. I am sorry if i have offended you with what i said.

Sian you bombshell! You look amazing!! Love the bodysuit, it’s sexy but still wearably during the day if you combine it like you did 🙂 and that skirt was just made for your curves! 🙂 Gorgeous!
