After my sister received her amazing results (distinction!) for her Foundation Art course on Monday, my parents decided to take us out for a meal to celebrate, so of course, I couldn’t pass by an excuse to dress up, could I?! This is basically the outfit I wore for the 21st at the weekend because I didn’t manage to get photos of the outfit, so I was lazy and rewore it, but mixed it up a little! This time I did up the buttons on the cardigan, put on the belt I’d forgotten to take, put on black tights and changed the shoes. My dad took these photos of my outfit just before we left, and he decided to get a little ‘creative’ hence the interesting angles, the standing on walls and the patting of ornamental cats (that one is below…). Also I decided to include a picture of him for fun, apparently this is his outfit pose! And a picture of my sister too, I dyed her ends blue the day before, so take a look at them!
We just went out to a local pub for the meal, and popped in to see my *new* aunt and uncle on the way and my baby cousin Mollie. She’s growing up so quickly now, and she’s so funny, chattering away in her own little language, thinking my sister is absolutely hilarious!! The meal was amaaazing, I wasn’t allowed to take pictures of my food though, my family were too embarrassed by me haha, but I had a mushroom and cheese wellington followed by creme brulee, nommm. I was sooo full afterwards!! It’s funny as well because the pub is next to my old school and a lot of my teachers often go there, and we spotted my old Latin teacher behind the bar, so I had to go over and give him the news that I’d got a job as a teacher, I think he was quite proud =)
Cardigan: Zara (similar here)
Dress: H&M (similar here)
Heels: Vivienne Westwood (ahem, fakes from eBay) (real ones here)
Okay, so some of you might recognise these heels here – if you’re obsessed with Vivienne Westwood and Melissa like me. Well, I have a confession – I could pretend they’re real ones, but alas, they’re not! They’re fakes from eBay!! I knew they were when I was buying them, and that’s why I bought them, I didn’t want to have to pay the £120 price tag for them, so got some that look just the same for £25. They’re not obviously fake though, the plastic is a little harder than the real ones and they don’t have that bubblegum scent, but they look pretty and that’s all that matters to me, as well as being comfortable! I don’t go for designer things because of the name, in fact I’d probably steer clear of them because of it! But I’ve always loved the design of Vivienne Westwood Melissa shoes, and I have one real pair that I saved up for and got half price, and they are honestly my favourite shoes, so comfortable and prettyyyy!!
This is a super cute colour combination, I love the skirt, and those shoes are amazing!! What a great pair!
Cute pictures of your family 🙂

Your family always looks so fun, Sian! And I love this outfit — and the photos, you’re dad has quite the eye ;] ! I have never bought a pair of designer shoes in my life — well, I guess I have some Jessica Simpson shoes, but I’m not sure she counts! I don’t think I could ever justify wearing a pair of, like $400 shoes out in the rain here in Oregon!

Ooh so jealous of your shoes! Please give me a link so I can buy them too 😀 I don’t care about designer stuff either. It’s ridiculously expensive, and most of them is just so high fashion (unless you’re investing in ‘timeless pieces’) that next season you don’t want to wear them anymore! I definitely prefer lots of cheap clothes and shoes over 1 designer piece!
Love your pretty outfit, such a cute dress and your legs are so long! 😀 xx
I just adore your shoes Sian! So cute and fun. I don’t get into designer stuff either; it’s just so expensive and when you’re on a tight budget it doesn’t make much sense to splurge on one pair of designer shoes when you could go somewhere else and get an entire outfit for the same cost(if not less!). I do a lot of thrifting so I have been able to find some designer clothing for a fraction of the original cost 🙂

I love the bubblegum scent, don’t you?
P.S. I don’t fault you for buying fakes. I try to never do it, but sometimes I like the style so much I have to have it, but I just can’t afford the real one. I.E. That amazing YSL ring all the bloggers have and my Kelly bag.
