Vedette Night

June1
You might remember my post from a few weeks ago now with my Vedette shapewear here, well that was my day time version, and here is my night version of the bodysuit!

When I started planning a night wear outfit for this bodysuit, I planned it out in my head to wear it with my leather mini skirt from H&M but that without tights and with the neon heels I wanted to add to bring some colour made me feel like I was wearing anything!! Apparently now that I’m all ‘grown up’ (haha) I don’t want to wear short things anymore!! Ok, maybe that’s not quite true, considering that I feel absolutely fine in my denim shorts, but I think it was the combo of short tight skirt and heels. Since I don’t go out very much, and when I do even if I wear heels I cover my legs up a bit, I don’t think I’m used to it anymore, weird!!

Denim Jacket: Matalan (similar here)
Bodysuit: c/o Vedette
Sheer Maxi Skirt: c/o Funky Divaa (similar here)
Neon Heels: H&M (similar here)
This skirt is another item I received from the lovely people at Funky Divaa (you can see the dress they sent me here). I picked it out from the website not knowing which items out of the ones I chose I would be sent and didn’t really think about how I would wear this one. So when it arrived I was a little bit stuck, it’s not really my usual style, but I really love the look of these skirts on other people. But now I’ve worn it, I absolutely love it! Especially how it looks with heels!
This is an outfit made up of quite a few things you haven’t seen before actually – the denim jacket I bought earlier that day when I went ‘food’ shopping with my mum ;D We popped into Matalan and though I tried on 7 items, I only bought one so I was quite proud of myself! I’ve been wanting a new denim jacket for quite a while because my old one is too big and not cropped. I wear a lot of clothes that I think need a cropped jacket or cardigan otherwise they tend to drown me and cover up the outfit underneath. So when I tried this one on, I thought it would be perfect!! The heels are also quite new – I got them about a month before I left Newcastle, but I’ve only worn them a couple of times, including for the 21st at the weekend. I saw these on a couple of other bloggers (can’t remember who now, sorry!) but thought they would be uncomfortable. But when I spotted them in H&M and tried them on, I couldn’t resist!! They are actually comfortable too! Although I haven’t worn them for walking far or anything. They’re not my usual style either but I’m loving them this season for some reason, especially in neon, which again I’m not a big fan of, but seem to be heading towards this season!!

This outfit is lovely, you look so mature but very stylish. I love yellow shoes, I read somewhere that they are one of those big fashion no no’s but I think they are such a lovely way to cheer up an outfit. I love the longer length of skirts you’ve been wearing recently xo

Ooo The way you styled that skirt makes you look very sophisticated! Like Alice said, the yellow shoes are fab! They really complete the outfit 🙂

it’s official: I want ALL of your shoes! 😀 Haha These are so pretty, shame they didn’t have them at my local H&M or I would’ve bought them too! They would look great with a shorter skirt or shorts too, don’t worry 😀 Love that outfit, you look so pretty and elegant! xx
