Evening Florals

Hairband: Primark
Dress: Forever21
Flats: Next
This is a super quick post with one of my first evening outfits from Turkey! We were staying in an all-inclusive resort which meant that we didn’t have to go out and pay for any meals or drinks (note the ever-present blue wristband!), so every evening we just had to pop over to the bar at the hotel then up to the dining room for our meal. There was always a salad and soup bar, so we would choose one of the two as a starter, then the main course was a selection of hot food such as traditional Turkish kebabs, fresh grilled fish or turkey and all the typical English things they had to have like chips and pizza! I couldn’t help but get at least a few chips everyday, when there are free chips on offer, you ain’t gonna stop me getting at them! Then the desserts, although they looked amazing were often, ahem, not amazing tasting. In fact I did take a couple of pictures, I’ll have to go find them now.
Let’s just talk about the outfit a little then – old hairband from Primark, all the flowers are falling off it now =( The dress I got in Forever 21 in Florida last year and haven’t had a chance to wear since then (really, when would the weather be alright enough to wear that in the UK?!) and the peep toes flats are new from Next, I bought them a few weeks before we left. They’re actually jelly shoes so I thought they would be perfect for holiday, unfortunately they seem to expand and go a bit floppy when they hear up (ie. in the sun), so fall off my feet a lot once they’ve been outside for more than 10 minutes, but still, they’re pretty!

Sorry about the weird lighting in the first one and the blurriness in the second, it was that weird stark lighting in the room and my camera hated it, plus I was holding up people while trying to take pictures of the food and not look weird at the same time!! So you can see, the desserts all look amazing, but they had a pretty bland taste. I always ended up picking several then being like ‘meh’. But they always had loads of fresh fruit on offer, particularly watermelon, so I usually got myself a couple of slices of that!
I might be back later, or tomorrow maybe, with another post – I went shopping with my sister yesterday and bought a bunch of clothes for my new job plus a top for my next holiday (Canada, Washington and Oregon, yay!!) and some shoes (they were necessary!!), so I threw on some of the new things as soon as I got home and got some photos in them =D It’s weird weather here at the moment, hot but very humid and cloudy and rainy and just plain odd. I just can’t get my clothes right though – I started yesterday in jeans, a top and a cardigan, and ended in shorts and a vest top, crazy!

Haha, I always find that desserts on holiday tend to look a lot nicer than they taste. Hope you had a great time.
Those shoes really are pretty, shame about their reaction to the heat though 🙁 xx

Kind of funny about the shoes actually. A few times I’ve been walking on hot pavement and my sandals actually started to stick to the surface as I walked because they were ever so slightly melting with each step. Bummer about the deserts, they do look so tasty. I’ll have to work extra hard at being an awesome pastry chef so nobody someday eats my treats and thinks ‘bleh’!

I didn’t like the desserts either when we went turkey! You look gorgeous.
