An outfit post at home from me, finally!! This is from over a week ago now – the morning of these photos I’d been shopping with my sister. I actually bought this top and the shoes that day, and you know what I’m like, as soon as I got home, I had to put them on! And to be honest, it was appropriate because I’d started the day in jeans and a cardigan because it was raining; by the time we got home, it was sunny, hot and muggy again, so I had to get changed into shorts and a vest top. When I saw this top, with its little Mickey on it plus the fringing, I just had to get it. I’ve been wanting a top with fringing on for a while, and this was perfect! And the shoes, well, I’ve wanted some of these style forever but didn’t think I could get away with proper creepers, so the compromise with the plimsoll style seemed perfect. In fact, my sister even ordered some as soon as we got home and saw me wearing them haha =D

The jumping picture is not the most flattering photo ever, but I thought it was cool! It makes my tummy look kind of funny and squished (it doesn’t usually look like that, at least I hope not!), but hey, bloggers aren’t always perfect in their pictures you know!
Anyway, quite a lot has happened in my life recently I haven’t told you about! As most of you know, I’m going to be taking up a teaching post at a boarding school teaching Classics next year. Since I’ve been back from holiday, I’ve been up to the school to get more used to it and to get more info about what I’m going to be teaching. I’m going to be teaching Years 7 and 8 Latin, Year 10 Classical Civilisation and Years 12 and 13 Classical Civilisation. Now that’s a little scary because that’s Sixth Form, ie. 3 years younger than me! But I met a few of my Upper Sixth pupils and they all seemed very nice though, so I’m not too worried! I just hope I’ll do well! So I have a lot of stuff to read and prepare right now, but it’s all stuff I love doing, so it’s all good! Reading about Pompeii right now =)
I also had an interview for my Graduate Teacher Programme (I’ll be doing this course one day a week alongside teaching to qualify me as a teacher). That went well and I got offered a place on the day. I had to do a comprehension and an essay while I was at the interview, but it wasn’t difficult!
And my final news, I’ve had a pain in my mouth/teeth the last few days so ended up at the Dentist yesterday – it turned out I had a piece of gum over one of my wisdom teeth that had become detached at one end but not the other, so it was stopping my tooth from growing any further but because it was over my tooth I was biting it every time I ate, which was pretty painful! So he basically just said, ‘Right, we’ll have to cut that off’, then numbed my mouth and cut it out!! I’m pretty good with Dentists after having a brace for several years and having to have 5 teeth taken out for that, but a little squeamish about injections. But it was all fine, and it’s just a little sore today still!
Love,
The outfit is so fun !! Love the Mickey and the USA flag, they look perfect together. Plus your anklet is such a cool little touch 🙂
