This outfit is from almost a month ago now – when Ben and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary. We actually didn’t do anything on the day (18th July), because it was the day after my graduation, so Ben had taken the day off and we’d been out for a meal then. But a week later, we decided we would go out anyway and celebrate it then, so we went to a pub near where Ben works, The Carpenters Arms. We’ve been a few times before with my family, and I was thinking Ben and I went for our last anniversary, but checking back on that post, I remembered it was a different one! Hmmm, it must have been another time that Ben and I went there then, it could have been a birthday or something?!
Anyway, I had mussels in a garlic sauce, which were amazing. My dad usually has that when we go there and I always steal some, so this time I decided to go for some of my own! There were so many of them though and I just couldn’t finish them along with chips!!
Jumper: Matalan
Jeans: Primark
Sandals: Moda in Pelle
I haven’t worn these jeans often enough on my blog – I think the only time that I’ve actually featured them was when I posted on Piia’s blog! I absolutely love them though, and bought them totally on a whim when I was shopping with friends – we were in Primark and when I was heading to the changing rooms with my arms full of clothes, I spotted them, but had too many things to try on. But one of my friends offered to go back and get them for me to try on, and she did and I loved them. I love the length, that they crop just above the ankle, I think they’re called 7/8th length.
The jumper and shoes are new though! I got the jumper in my big Matalan haul for something crazy like £3 when they had a massive sale on, and I love it a lot more than I thought I would! It’s something that’s really easy to throw on with anything just to be a bit warmer, and you know I can’t resist that colour!! The sandals are another whim item that I bought when out with my mum – I was just telling her that I could do with a new pair of sandals for holiday when we passed Moda in Pelle. I spotted these in the window, down from £60 to £15. They had them in white, a lime green and neon pink. I did love the pink, but I thought the white would be more practical and versatile, and so far they have been – I actually already have another 2 outfits photographed with them to post!!
Finally, the nail varnish – this is my new favourite! I only discovered Essie polishes recently, and just had to buy these two metallic shades. It’s pretty difficult to tell, but my ring finger is actually painted a different colour! One of the shades is pure gold (Good as Gold) and the other is a pinky rose gold (Penny Talk). I was tempted by a silver too, but thought two was enough at a time!!
Love the colour of this jumper !
I never think of going to matalan for knitwear !
