Jones and Jones has been one of my favourite websites to window shop for dresses for years, literally, I had a Jones and Jones dress on my 19th birthday wishlist (although I didn’t get it!), and after seeing Charlotte wear them and look so ridiculously awesome, I decided I just had to get one. I wanted one for my graduation, but decided it would be just too short for me, especially if I dropped something and had to pick it up, fell over, etc. And that’s very likely with me!! I still didn’t have an occasion, so I couldn’t pick one because I didn’t know where I would wear it, and there are just so many beautiful ones!! But when I realised there was a sale on, I decided I would finally take the plunge and buy one, especially since this beautiful one was half price at £30. And I am so glad I did because it’s honestly the most amazing dress I’ve ever owned!! It’s called the Red Hot Prom Dress and the description describes it as being like the dress in Dirty Dancing, and it definitely does feel like that! I wore it this day, then out for a meal the other night (more pictures to come!), and my grandparents told me I looked like a fairy! That’s always a good thing, right?!
I was so pleased with these pictures, the light was so pretty and they’re pretty much just the pictures I’ve always wanted to take! The cornfield is above my house and is one of my favourite places to take photos, especially at this time of day, but it gets quite muddy and is uphill so it’s difficult to get photos if it’s rained the day before!! I’ve always wanted to do some pictures in a pretty white floaty dress in this kind of light, and the setting and dress worked perfectly, so sorry for the overload of pictures, but I just couldn’t narrow them down any further! Ben took these for me, he’s getting to be quite the skilled photographer now, having to take half my outfit photos for me!! He’s actually better with my camera now than I am!
The necklace is from a shop that I just discovered called The Vintage Set. They offered to send me a surprise sample item, and I was delighted to find this pretty necklace. I’m guessing it’s vintage, as per the shop, but I’m not sure what era. I think I would prefer it a little shorter though, so I may be doing some DIY on it to shorten the length.
Bow: American Apparel
Dress: Jones and Jones
Necklace: c/o The Vintage Set
Sandals: Moda In Pelle
I’ve been working in the bakery recently, which means early mornings again, but I ended up missing work and going to the Dentist again this morning because of that wisdom tooth again. After a course of antibiotics, it’s managed to get infected again, so I’m on another course of antibiotics now (honestly, they are the bane of my life!). My sister and I are off for a little trip around a local town now to have a look at the shops – they’re only the little touristy type ones, but it’s nice to have a wander every once in a while!
Love,

for £30 that is a bloody bargain. I saw Charlotte’s red one and really wanted one but like you I didn’t have an ‘occasion’ to wear it but this white one can be pretty much worn day top day. Im gonna go have a look.
