Gosh, I’m so behind on outfit photos!! But don’t worry because I’ve got a plan for all these ones I’m behind on – since I go away on Thursday, I have some bloggers coming to help me out with posts, but I’m also planning to catch up on my outfit photos during that time! So don’t disappear while I’m away because you’ll miss them! Anyway, this outfit is from like a month ago now – it was one of my friend’s 21st so a group of us got together, including one friend who travelled all the way up from the South just for the occasion, and went out for a meal together at a local pub. We also all met up the next day for lunch and a mini shopping trip in York. It’s so difficult to get us all together now that we’re all either away at uni or just finished uni and getting real life jobs, so we were pretty impressed with ourselves!
So anyway, this is the outfit I wore for the evening. I did want to wear heels, but I wasn’t sure if anyone else would, plus I had a pretty short dress on! In the end a couple of my friends were wearing heels, but never mind! I wanted the chance to wear my new sandals anyway – you saw them last week here, but those photos were actually taken a week or two after these! I’ve now worn them several times and they’re probably some of my favourite shoes right now. I’m taking them to Canada/America with me; although at the moment I’ve got 6 pairs of shoes on my list to go with me, so I really need to get that list cut down!! I’ve also worn this dress a couple of times on the blog before now (here and here) despite it being quite new – it seems to be pretty versatile, and I’m surprised this was the first time I’d belted it, it’s the sort of silhouette I’d usually belt.

Denim Jacket: Matalan
Lace Dress: Zara
Belt: Topshop
Sandals: Moda In Pelle
I also decided to wear a bracelet this evening, which is very unusual for me. I’m not usually a bracelet person, but I spotted this in my jewellery drawer and decided to wear it. I’m pretty certain it was a present from my sister, but a good few years ago now and I don’t think I’ve ever really worn it!
My hair also should look different in these photos! I dyed it using henna that morning, so it was freshly done and nice and shiny! I’ve been dying my hair with all sorts of things for several years now, mostly sticking around my natural colour – I started with highlights when I was in my mid teens, then decided to go darker in late teens, with hints of red, then ombre last year, then pink ends, and now I’m onto henna. It makes my hair feel quite a lot healthier and gives it a more natural glow. I’m into lighter hair on me at the moment, but I love a reddish tint, and I’ve been trying to go more towards coppery-ginger for ages, and henna is about as close as I can get on my hair! It is really weird to apply and use, but I think it’s worth it! May do a post on that sometime (someone’ll have to remind me though!!)
Final note: yesterday I went to the #LeedsBloggerMeetUp2012 which was SO much fun! I met a lot of lovely bloggers, including some who are from my area and I’d been meaning to meet up with for ages, and some new faces as well as some familiar ones =) I’m going to do a proper post on it soon, but we got so many lovely goodies from a lot of companies who sponsored the event including a couple of presentations by Xen Tan and My Wild but there’s much more to come about that, including my outfit soon =D

Love,

I’ll have to try henna sometime, your hair looks amazing π Your dress is adorable and I think it was a good decision not to wear heels. The sandals are super cute.

I love lace dresses :). You look fab
Pretty lace dress, I especially love the low back. I think the sandals were a good choice, very bohemian and laid back.
