Finally I’ve got round to posting the actual outfit from my graduation, what I wore underneath the gown!! Of course, being me, I had to have something ‘special’ to wear for the day. On the internet, it just suggested we wear something dark coloured, like a black skirt with a white shirt, but considering what I’d seen other people wear at their graduations, I didn’t think many people would be wearing something along those lines. So I starting looking for my dress months beforehand. I wanted something that would be long enough that if I had to walk up on stage, or if I tripped over (!), there would be nothing on show, still dark coloured enough that it didn’t outshine the robe, wearable on other occasions, but still something special and ‘me’. At first I planned to go for a Jones + Jones dress after seeing Charlotte look so amazing in hers, but since she’s a little shorter than me, I was worried it might be just a little too short!! (I’m still planning to get a Jones + Jones dress though, just can’t decide which one!!) I searched so many websites and shops looking for a good dress, and eventually came across this one on the French Connection website. I loved the little floral print and the navy shade, and the pops of lime green in it match my neon green sandals! And I think worn with a jacket or cardigan, I might just be able to wear it for work too, perfect!!
And you already know the story behind my shoes – charity shop the day before!! I needed something sturdy but still nice – these were practical and I’m sure I’ll wear them again.
Dress: French Connection
Shoes: Charity Shop (originally New Look)
These pictures were taken quite rushedly (that’s totally not a word…). We handed back my robes and whatnot, then had a reservation for lunch, so I had to get my family to take them quite quickly, plus everyone else in the world was trying to take photos there too, so they kept walking in or behind my photos, so they’re not the best ever, but I think I look super happy in them haha!!
I actually remembered to put on different (or extra!) jewellery for the day, and ended up wearing a pair of old earrings and my Tiffany charm bracelet from my parents for my 18th birthday, along with my normal jewellery uniform of dragonfly necklace (18th from Ben), ring (Christmas present from Ben) and watch (21st present from Ben!). I do alternate my necklaces though and wear one my sister gave me for my 21st too =) My parents also gave me a new charm for my bracelet for my graduation which was a mortar board =D I’ve just had it attached so may show you it sometime soon!

Well you chose the right dress because this is absolutely stunning. The prints, colour, length and back is gorgeous. I like the fact its not too formal and that you can wear it daily and not for ‘special’occasions.
