This is my brand new favourite item today – my new jumper. I placed an ASOS order about a week ago when I noticed quite a few items with 25% off, one being this jumper, and also a dress and another (yes, another) pencil skirt for work. I am also in love with the new dress; it’s a ‘ballet style’ one apparently, with a cross over low neckline, fitted waist and skater style skirt in a pretty pale blue. But it’s not exactly appropriate for the chilly weather we’ve been having lately – at home, where I am now, the snow just melted today! So this jumper is perfect at the moment – slightly oversized and very warm. Particularly because our house is always pretty chilly, so I can keep a bit warmer when I’m just sitting around now =D The boots look new, but they’re actually stolen from my mother! I’ve now decided that I need some like this. I did try to steal and keep them, but she noticed XD So I planned to buy my own, but they’re out of stock, so I’m now trying to find the perfect pair. I found these ones which I really like, but wasn’t sure about studs for work, but after some persuasion on Twitter, I think I could probably get away with it =) I want some that are the same heel height as the ones I’m wearing here – not too high, but enough to look sophisticated and give a little extra height; some that are low on the ankle, so more shoe boot looking and suedey material. So let me know if you know of any!
So you’ve probably worked out I’m home right now. I’ve got my pre-op hospital appointment on Tuesday, and since I can’t drive, I need to be at home so someone can get me there! We also planned to get our Christmas tree this morning, which is always a family thing, so we did that too. It was pretty quick compared to other years, we literally went in, picked a tree, paid and left! We did bump into a couple of friends on the way too though =D We haven’t put up the tree yet, we’ll probably be doing that and decorating it this weekend, but with my operation being on Friday, I’ll probably not be very involved in that part! I’m thinking along the lines of sitting on a chair and ordering people to put decorations where I want! We’re supposed to be going out for a big family meal with Ben’s family that weekend too, but since my operation has been rearranged to nearer it, I’m not sure whether or not I’ll be able to make it, so we’re just going to wait and see how I’m feeling when it gets to it. I’m starting to get a little nervous now because I’m not so fond of hospitals (is anyone?!), and in particular the IV they’ll put in my hand (yuck!). I wasn’t particularly squeamish and was fine with needles until I had my tonsils out and for some reason since then I’ve been funny about them!
Jumper: ASOS
Jeans: Topshop
Boots: George at ASDA (my mumma’s)
I’ve been feeling quite a lot better with my gallstones and pain since I got signed off work, but today I’ve been feeling quite poorly in ups and downs. Right now I’m not too bad, but an hour ago I was almost ready to take one of my super strong painkillers. I think it might just be a slight reaction to taking all these different tablets and not eating enough with them – we’ve had funny meals today: pancakes for brunch, and technically were supposed to be having our Sunday dinner a couple of hours ago, but we’re still waiting!
And notice my nails? My plan was to have them like this for the Northern Bloggers Christmas Party I was supposed to be at on Friday evening. Unfortunately I was too poorly with all this to make it, so I didn’t get to wear the special dress I’d got for it, or curl my hair and wear my nails all fancy, but I painted them anyway for fun! I’ve managed to take some pictures of the dress I planned to wear though, so I’ll have those up soon – the dress is so amazing (I’ll give you a hint – Jones & Jones =D). So I’ll get that post up for you soon!

I would totally go for those boots you showed on twitter if I were you! The studs are very small and not really ‘in your face’, I think they are perfectly suitable for school! It’s not like you’re wearing the Jeffrey Campbell spiked Lita’s, that would maybe be a little too much 😀
You look really good in those jeans btw! And that sweater looks so cosy 🙂 xx
So pretty I love your sweater so much and those booties 🙂
Pretty sweater. You style look so great,Love you.
