I’ve seen dresses this style in shops for what must be at least a year and quite often picked them up and put them back down again. I’m a bit funny with midi dresses and skirts because I do love them, particularly because so many things are so short now, but I find them difficult to style, particularly in winter and without heels. If I could heels and bare legs with them all the time, I think I’d be okay, but that really isn’t practical, is it?! But I braved my phobia of tights and midis this day, although the boots do have a heel ;D I’m a bit funny about midi lengths with boots too because I feel like they’d make my legs look short, but I think this works okay. I actually tried on a grey version of this dress a couple of months ago in Matalan but it was a little too big. I decided to get the size down for this striped one (which is actually my usual size 8, they just didn’t have any of those before) and it fits perfectly. I feel like it could do with a thin belt round the waist – maybe next time! I’m really excited to wear it in summer with bare legs and sandals; we’re going to New England this year again. When I was there before the weather was warm, humid and quite rainy, so a T-shirt style dress is probably quite appropriate!

Hey, guess what? I actually started exercising yesterday!! I’ve seen reviews of Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred all over the internet and decided I had to do it. I did decide to wait a little while though since my operation wounds getting infected and whatnot, I didn’t want to rip them open! So I started yesterday, and I’m liking it so far. I did Day 2 with Ben today (it was funny watching Ben try to do it!!), but I was so achy from yesterday that it was more difficult today! I’m planning to do some before and after pictures, I’ve done my before (obviously!) and I’m hoping to get some proper workout gear soon, so hopefully my after pictures will be a lot nicer than my before! I’m not weighing myself though (because I don’t want and I don’t have scales) as I’m not trying to lose weight, I’m just trying to be a bit healthier as I don’t do any exercise. I may do measurements, but unfortunately we just have a rubbishy tape measure, like one for DIY and whatnot, so it’s not very accurate.
Cute dress, You look lovely, and your legs don’t look short at all!
