Crocuses and Sunlight

Overload of photos today! I took these last Thursday on the day before I started my new job. It was such a beautiful day and I just couldn’t resist going out to snap some photos. This is the first set of photos I’ve done out and about with my tripod where we live now! I’ve been a bit scared to go out because there are a lot of kids, well teenagers really, that live in the village and it’s not the type of place where people will know about fashion blogging! So I pretended I was just taking pictures of views and the church whenever people appeared! I had an old man ask me if I wanted to take his picture too haha! I actually do have tights on with this outfit, just in case you thought I was going a little mad, but it was still quite warm in the sunshine, not quite in double figures yet I’d say though!

Above is a picture of a crocus on the village green and our house looking across the green – ours is the one right in the corner with the cream coloured door, half of it is blocked from view at this angle by the house next door. I absolutely love living here – it’s only a little house but is perfect for us at this time, and we’ve decorated it just how we like. But we may end up moving in a couple of months time so I’ll be closer to work, so I’ll really miss this house then!

This is the dress I bought at the same time as this striped dress. I’ve actually now ordered that dress in navy because Ben was doing an order from Matalan and I just had to push it over £50 to get free delivery! Also because I love it =D But anyway, this dress is so pretty with its dainty floral pattern and lace inserts on the top and around the hem. The length is just perfect, it hits just above my knees, which is the kind of length I love at the moment. You can’t tell because of the cardigan but it has little sleeves. I can’t wait until summer when I can wear it without cardigans and whatnot. I’m planning to take it to New England with me in summer, and possibly Disney in a month’s time too (depending on the weather!).

So I didn’t really say much about my new job in my last post, I was too busy writing up about all the speeches from the conference I went to on Saturday. I started on Friday and pretty much spent the day learning about what I was going to be doing, so I was wheeling myself around the office in my chair and talking to people all day! My title is ‘Outreach Specialist’ at Bronco which is a digital agency. So far the things I’ve been doing are writing up blog posts and content and emailing bloggers (that’s the outreach bit!). Today I actually spent a couple of hours wandering around Ripon to have my photo taken for the team page (scroll down and find me!) and for my page which meant that I got to talk photography for a while which was fun =D So far I’m really loving it there; I’m doing a lot of things I love and everyone’s really nice, so I’m really happy!
