I’m so behind on outfit photos right now – usually I want to blog but haven’t bothered to take pictures so have nothing to blog about, but at the moment I have plenty of pictures and have been too lazy to get them up! These are from a couple of weekends ago (at least!) now, when we went to my grandparents’ house for Sunday lunch. It’s not a fancy affair or anything, but you know me, any occasion to dress up and I will! I’m pretty attached to this boucle jacket at the moment so I’ve been wearing that a lot. And the dress was an accidental new purchase a month or so ago…we have a Dorothy Perkins in the town I work, so I pass it when I’m going to town to get lunch. I don’t usually go in, but they’ve recently had some really amazing sales on. I ended up getting this dress with 15% off plus 20% student discount (yep, my card has an expiry date of October!), so it was pretty good really! It’s a really nice shape, easy and comfortable to wear and has really cute sleeves (that you can’t even see!).

We’ve had a pretty busy bank holiday weekend! After an awful day weather-wise on Friday, the sun finally came out for the weekend. On Friday, one of the guys at work was leaving, so nearly all of the office went out for lunch at Wetherspoons which was fun, but walking there in the rain wasn’t! So I wasn’t looking forward to another weekend in the rain, but it surprised us! On Saturday we went home in the afternoon and had a barbeque with my family, but my dad had a bad cold and ended up in bed for half the evening! Then on Sunday, we had an M&S Dine in for two meal for lunch that we’d planned to have on Saturday before the weather turned nice and we had the BBQ instead! Then we went to visit my grandparents in the afternoon where we met my mum and sister too. Afterwards we rushed on home because the neighbours had invited us round for a drink at 7pm. We’ve been in our new house around a month now and exchanged greetings with the neighbours but not spoken much, so it was really nice to get to know them. We live on a tiny lane (it literally turns into nothing past the 8 houses along it!) so there aren’t many people around, but the ones that invited us round are two doors down, and they also had the woman from 2 doors up to meet us too! We ended up being there until gone midnight! We got on really well with them, so I think we’ll definitely enjoy living here! Then today we had Ben’s family round for another BBQ 😀 But the weather started to cool down a little towards the afternoon so we headed inside later.
Super close up of my face there, sorry! I was trying to show the eyelashes I’m wearing! They’re fake ones that I bought for Disney for our princess day (coming soon!). I wore them all day that day and really liked them, so decided to wear them again. I like them because you can barely tell I’m wearing them at all, which seems a bit pointless really, but I think it makes a little bit of a difference. I might get some more of these ones sometime!
Love,
