Wow, these pictures are seriously late. Like so late that I will actually be away on my next holiday by the time these go up! Hopefully I’ll manage to schedule some more of these travel posts for while I’m away, but that’s only a hopefully! If you want to see the other parts of my holiday that I’d previously posted, go ahead: Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3.
So if you can remember, we were travelling in a camper (RV) with all our camping gear and (in the previous post) were in Victoria on Vancouver Island. In this part of the saga, we left Victoria on a ferry and headed down into the US. Unforunately we had a few problems at the border before boarding the ferry (ahem, tomatoes and logs…), but we managed to get on board eventually and on our way. We docked in Port Angeles, and despite the fact that I wanted to explore, we didn’t have time because we had to make the journey through the Olympic National Park of Washington to Forks (yep, as in the Twilight place). So, as the pictures say: Welcome to Forks! Truth be told, we were leaving Forks as we got the picture with the welcome sign, as is evidenced by our matching Forks hoodies. Okay, yes, I do like Twilight just a little. I read the books when they first came out, so I was, what, 14 or 15 and loved them then. Okay, I still do like them and will probably read them again at some point in time. The films I’m not such a big fan of, nor the ‘Team Edward/Team Jacob’ fan club thing. But it was pretty awesome to be where the books were set. Driving along the road between Port Angeles and Forks felt pretty cool too, because Edward drove along there!! Yep, okay enough now.
Definitely a bad traveller now, but I cannot for the life of me remember the name of the place above that we walked. I know my mum will know, but she’s not here, and I know that I’ll have it written down in my diary, which is not here. So let’s just go for, that’s a rainforest in Washington near Forks. And I forced my poor parents to post like that – it was fun. As you can probably tell, it was still a little chilly at this point, but warming up slightly!
Okay, so I wrote all that then remembered the name and couldn’t be bothered to delete it: it’s the Hoh Rainforest!
So I said there’d be no more Twilight in this post…so I lied! I’m sorry, I had to do the tourist thing! My sister is also a minor fan of Twilight, so we explored the shops finding things that amused us about Twilight. And how good is my Bella face above?! Seriously, so proud of that.
And finally, moving on to the pictures below – our campground at Forks was ‘on the Treaty Line’, pretty cool 😀 Technically it’s the Three Rivers Resort and was one of my favourite campgrounds from the trip. They had a Twilight restaurant, which was more like a diner, but still good. And we spent a lot of the evening chatting with the owner outside our camper. That’s one of the best parts about camping, meeting people. There are definitely some weird and wacky ones, but it’s always interesting.
So in these pictures I’m not wearing anything exciting that needs listing I don’t think – the jeans are Topshop Leigh jeans (in a dark and light wash), and I’m wearing my Moda in Pelle sandals (sale!) in one outfit and New Look jellies in another. I really need some good comfortable shoes for my next holiday (which I’ll be on right now, ahaha future!!) especially because we usually do a lot of walking and I’m not really safe on my feet – something like these Zuuks (and they’re pink too!).

Oh and by the way, the picture below – I’m the vampire, my sister is the werewolf. Yep.
Bahahahahahahahahahahaha. These pictures are hilarious!

I had to look twice in Beths picture of Edward Bella and Jacob – ‘seriously’, she is the spitting image!!
Yup, the Hoh Rainforest is past Forks. We were there with friends probably 10 years ago. Lovely place. They were in WA for a family trip visiting a graduating relative. We came over from Victoria and stayed at the house on Lake Crescent that the whole gang was at. Went to the Hoh Rainforest and Forks. Our friends came back to Victoria with us for a few days before heading back to WA and more travel in the PNW.
