Another lingerie set review for you today, but don’t worry, I don’t have any more long winded survey results to regale you with today!
I’ve had the ‘Meg’ balconette set by Cleo* for a couple of months now, so it’s had enough wear to let you know a good review of it. I was sent this to review by My Curves and Me – I was asked to choose off the site, and had a few problems narrowing it down, so handed over the final decision to Ben, and this is the one he came up with. I wasn’t sure how much I would like this, as I’m more a fan of moulded cups than I am of soft ones, but I loved the cute design with the bird pattern (swallows I think) and pendant on the centre gore as well as the red accents. For some reason, a lot of my bras seem to be in a shade of pink or red, so it was nice to have something in navy for a change.
I decided to go for this in a 28FF – 28 or 30 is my usual band size, and F or FF. The band fits absolutely perfectly, I cannot fault that at all. It was a nice tight 28, which is brilliant as it has plenty of room for stretch. I could probably have done with going up to a G in the cup, but it’s not a big problem. I actually do really like the soft cups in this style – the shape is really pretty and rounded.
I love having a pair of matching knickers too, and these are really nice – a very good shape and comfortable. I got them in a size 10 (I usually wear an 8-10), and I’m really pleased with them.
Overall, a really good set. I’m definitely going to be coming back to Cleo in future. It’s known as being pretty, playful and cute and it definitely lives up to that, as well as being sturdy and well fitting.
Ooh really cute set 🙂
I know this is an old post, but I am just seeing this post. I had the Meg in a 30G, and the fit and shape for me were awesome. My only complaint was the feel of the fabric itself! It had no stretch, and was extremely scratchy on my skin. Alas, the pretty bra did not serve me well.
Thank you for posting this, though!
