Yep, I know – this is the least expected post from me possibly ever. If you know me at all, you’ll know that I’m one of the least coordinated people ever, meaning that I tend to spend a lot of time falling over, and when forced to do sport, this is not a good thing. Neither is my ability to be able to miss absolutely anything that is thrown at me – you’d think I’d be good at dodgeball, but no – and as several friends have quoted: ‘The only thing Sian’s ever caught is a cold!’. So why am I posting about exercise wear? Simple reason – I am ridiculously unfit and need to motivate myself to exercise.
I am completely useless with exercise and tend to be too lazy or somehow accidentally hurt myself doing whatever I’m doing. But recently I tried to the 30 Day Shred and didn’t succeed, mostly due to the fact that I got too lazy, but also because specific exercise were bad on my ribs. I’m planning to try it again, but only occasionally so I don’t destroy my ribcage, but I really want to start up again doing Yoga like I used to do at school, possibly try out some running (yuck!), a bit of swimming, a dance class and maybe even go to our local gym. And one way to inspire me to do some exercise is to wear something I like while doing it! So here is my exercise wear inspiration.
American Eagle Outfitters clothing, £13 / NIKE activewear top, £19 / Freya Active Soft Cup Sports Bra AA4391, £38 / Capezio Hot Pink Web Dance Sneaker – Dancemania Dancewear
Obviously being someone with a larger bust, I need a bit more support, so a sports bra is always necessary. I actually have the Freya Soft Cup Sports Bra* in a 28FF which fits pretty perfectly (despite being a little bit tight on the band, but I hardly ever get that, so it’s always a good thing), and that looks nice enough to be worn as kind of cropped workout top by itself. (Please excuse the lack of make up and gallbladder scars!)
You’ll probably be shocked to hear (or maybe not if you know me!), that I don’t actually currently own a pair of trainers! The above Dancemania pair are pretty as well as being functional and flexible. If I did manage to get myself to a dance class, or even to a yoga class (where I could wear the above yoga pants too), they would be perfect. But who knows how long until I get off my lazy bottom and do that.
Love,
I’m very uncoordinated too and I hate exercise but I’ve just started going to the gym so hopefully can keep it up. Good luck! x
I didn’t jump on the workout bandwagon until 7-8 months ago. Now that I am on the bandwagon I love it! It’s all about finding what you like and doing it in cute clothes makes it SO much better! Marika is a great brand for workout gear! Good luck! (:
