I did mention my day out the other weekend at Leeds Fest with my sister – in fact I gave you quite an account of it because I got ahead of myself – but you’re going to get another one now! The above pictures are my sister’s from the day – we only went on the Saturday in order to see Green Day (who my sister is obsessed with!). But I stole these off Facebook, hence the awful quality – sorry! But I wanted to illustrate our day in a little more detail than just my outfit post before we left. Unfortunately we got very few pictures because of the rain, we just didn’t want to risk the camera in it. But these are from our entry to Leeds. Ahem, I say that, and I mean the first time…we ended up going back to the car when we were literally minutes off getting our wristbands because somebody (no idea who?!) left their keys in the ignition. What, me?! No, never!! And the others are from the ferris wheel. Yes, we just had to go on it 😀 For some reason I love rollercoasters and any scary kind of thrill ride – give me drops like the Cliffhanger at Flamingo Land or the Hulk at Universal Studios and I love it. Put me on a ferris wheel and I’m terrified – I don’t get it either! (Teeny exaggeration going on in the photo though…the car spun too by the way!!).
So anyway, as you might have heard, the day was quite literally a mud fest. It was ankle deep everywhere, apart from the parts where it was knee deep. And people were rolling in it, jumping in it, kicking it. There was no use trying to stay clean and dry. It rained pretty much all day too, and you know rain isn’t my thing! We ended up buying raincoats there but I could have done with a good parka like one of these to take with me because the raincoats and ponchos were pretty useless!
Anyway, I wasn’t going to share these outfit photos, mostly because I don’t think the outfit comes across flattering at all in photos. There’s no point me trying to analyse why I think it doesn’t look right, but come on, I wasn’t the worst looking one at Leeds anyway! The day started really hot by the way, it was just very rainy later. And I ended up in a vest, top and cardigan with 2 raincoats! Oh and my wellies! They were a gift from my parents on holiday – I bought them in a country store and I love them – cowboy boot wellies!!

The shorts look great on you. I always hate it when outfits FEEL amazing, but they photograph less than ideally. I’ve been having that issue lately myself more often than I’d wish.
I love the top you wore, the print is really nice x

I love Greenday too. Saw them at Leeds years and years ago. Was amazing.
