I’m not going to talk too much in this post, since there are too many photos and I don’t want to take up all your time looking at them and reading, so it’s mostly just a looking post 😀 I am so ridiculously behind on holiday photos, considering that I haven’t even finished putting up the ones from this time last year, but I thought I’d give you all a quick overview of our family trip this year now. This is a collection of photos from all throughout the holiday, all in bits and pieces! I do plan to do some other posts (whether or not that will happen is a different matter!), but for now, this is a ‘brief’ collection of my photos, my mum’s and my dad’s; Ben and Beth still haven’t got theirs to me. I also tried to include a few outfits here too. Some of the clothes are brand new that I bought while in America. I was told before I went to New England a few years ago that I wouldn’t find anywhere to shop, but believe me, I can find shops and clothes anywhere! So I ended up buying a few things in stores like Urban Outfitters, J. Crew, Hollister and Forever 21. Ben had also saved some money for this trip to buy clothes, and was looking for some along the lines of this style which seems to be sort of coastal New England. In the end, the clothes he bought on the trip came mostly from J. Crew and Hollister. So here are some pictures and (hopefully!) quick explanations – none of these are edited by the way, I’m too lazy. Also I apologise for the fact the photos are all different sizes – being off 3 different cameras, they’re all different formats and it would take forever to resize!
Above: our first day in New England – we visited a Shaker Village. Notice Beth and I dressed in their traditional clothing! I’m wearing an ASOS vest top with Glamorous shorts and Moda in Pelle sandals.
These are from all over the place, including the Bridge of Flowers at Shelburne Falls, the Mowhak Trail, and meeting Father Christmas at the Yankee Candle Factory! I’m wearing a Nomads Clothing* cardigan, Forever 21 top, New Look skirt and Daniel Footwear* pumps (which my mum also has!). Also note: my dad on Santa’s knee, the family photo using self-timer on the car and Yankee Candle’s sign as the ‘Scenter of the Universe’ – love it!
Exploring Mount Greylock and its trails with some beautiful views and an amazing tower at the top, which unfortunately we weren’t able to climb. Here I’m wearing Ben’s F&F hoody, New Look crop top, Urban Outfitters shorts (bought on holiday) and sensible sandals! Note in the first photo of this section the fly landing on my forehead!
These were on the day we visited the museum at Albany. I’ll get more pictures of this at some point, probably in a separate post, but these are just in the square outside the museum. It was crazily windy!! I’m wearing a New Look cardigan, pink ASOS vest top, Hollister jeans (bought on holiday on super sale) and Moda in Pelle sandals.
And some bits and pieces! We stopped at the Ben and Jerry’s factory, but didn’t go in – we’d been a few years ago and were planning to go again so Ben could see, but it was SO busy. We turned around and walked away! We visited a lot of other places that day including the next photo at a Cider Mill (not alcoholic in America apparently!) where I’m wearing New Look Cardigan, ASOS vest top and J. Crew skirt (bought there). And the final photo, on the final day – Beth and I in matching clothing! The top and skirt are both from Zara 😀
Love,
Fabulous photos, and great outfit! 🙂
