I’ve got a surprise for you, and by now you’ve probably already noticed it – the new hair!! Okay, it’s not crazy different, but let me tell you something: almost 8 inches came off it to get it to this length – crazy! I was originally planning to go a bit shorter, but decided to stop at this length, just below my shoulders, for now. I can always go shorter later anyway! And a fringe again too! Basically I’ve gone back to my 2010 hair, but slightly shorter and a lot lighter. I had the highlights last done around 6 months ago, just before I started at Bronco, but my hair grows crazy fast, and the highlights were about 6 inches down my head before I had them redone! I was just starting to get a little fed up of the amount of time and effort that had to go into my super long hair – I mean, the other night I was out of the shower before 9pm, woke up at 5.30am and still had wet hair. Plus it tangled so easily. This feels so much more manageable and just neater. And it’ll be back to its old length in less than a year anyway if I decide I want it longer again! I still have a couple of outfit posts from before the chop to post, but I wanted to show this off today! I got it done last night – it was the first time I’ve had a mobile hairdresser before. When I was at Charley’s the other week, I met Kellie who was doing her hair, and decided that sounded like a great idea. It was so much easier because all the salons seem to close before I’m home from work. And a lot cheaper too, amazing!
Cropped Cardigan: ASOS
Dress: Primark via Char
Heels: ASOS
And onto the outfit! Both the cardigan and dress are new (-ish in the case of the dress!). I did an ASOS order the other day with some new things for Autumn, and that included this cropped cardigan. You probably know by now that I’m a huge fan of cropped cardigans, but I tend to find that they’re difficult to come across. ASOS currently have this one in several different colours too, which is amazing! And the dress came from Char over at t*rexes and tiaras – she’d decided she didn’t like it, so I offered to buy it off her, and I love it! It’s the perfect shape and has a really cute print of a colourful forest too.
Breaking out the dress and heels was a nice change because I’ve been wearing jeans a lot recently due to being ill and the changing weather. New Look have a denim campaign going on at the moment which is perfect timing for the transitional weather. I find jeans are the easiest thing to wear at this time of year because you can throw on several layers with them and take them off or pile them on whenever the weather changes. With dresses and skirts, I often end up stuck being too hot in tights but cold in bare legs. I’m currently loving the coated denim look at the moment and am thinking of getting hold of some to join my autumn wardrobe.
Love your hair and that’s a really gorgeous dress xx

That dress is gorgeous and really suits you! Do you know if it’s still available in store? x
Sorry I don’t know! I don’t have a Primark near me at the moment and haven’t been to one for about 6 months – I got this dress off another blogger. There might be one on eBay if they’re sold out in store though? xx
Your hair looks amazing! And the dress looks fab too 🙂

You really suit a fringe, very youthful! (not to say you looked old without one!)
Thanks for the heads up on the cardigans. You’re right, long sleeved cropped cardis are so difficult to find!
Hair looks lovely Sian, I mean it was lovely before, always jealous of your long locks, but, I think I prefer it shorter.. It’s a great ‘in between’ length. 🙂
The outfit.. The dress is amazing, I love the print! So ‘you’. 🙂
