Another denim post today! I’ve been wearing jeans quite a bit recently, mostly due to the changing weather. As a typical style blogger, yes of course, I am now going to talk about autumn weather! Here in the UK it’s been quite chilly for about a week, but the last two days have warmed up a bit. We’ve also had random lashings of rain and bits of wind, meaning that I don’t want to get caught out in a skirt or ballet flats in the wind or rain, so it’s been jeans and boots quite a lot. This was a more pulled together look I managed to put on recently, after being a bit more lazy with my outfits. I got the blouse from a blog sale, and the jeans came from New Look to see how I would style them up. For some reason, I didn’t add any colour to this look – shock, horror! I usually don’t go for outfits without any colour at all, so feeling kind of crazy over here!

I had a fun day yesterday! I got the news on Monday that one of my best friends who I’ve known since forever (literally, our parents knew each other and we went to baby classes together, then school until we were 16 together, and still going strong!) had got engaged on the Saturday, which was her birthday. So two other friends and I met up with her yesterday to find out all about the proposal! We tried to force her to go wedding dress shopping, but she wasn’t having any of that just yet!! She’s the first of my close friends to get engaged, so it was a very exciting day for us! We had a lovely lunch in York then headed to a cafe for pudding, but I was going out in the evening with Ben’s family for his birthday (last Thursday), so I decided to skip dessert! Two meals out in one day was kind of tough, but we didn’t eat tea till later, so I just about managed to get a chicken burger and chips into me for lunch, and mallard with mash and honey roast veg for tea!!
Today we haven’t done much, but we’re doing a bit of baking now, so I thought I’d squeeze a blog post in too 🙂 We’re making these salted caramel peanut shortcake biscuits and the dough is currently chilling in the fridge waiting to go into the oven. Hopefully they’ll turn out alright because the recipe has just managed to throw us off…apparently you have to take a pan off the heat, but there is no pan on the heat!! And even if we did put a pan on the heat, it doesn’t say what should be in it, so I suggested just putting in the sea salt and peanuts, like it tells us too, but that doesn’t sound very right to me! We’ll see what happens (and maybe rewrite our version of the recipe up here!).
Love,
Wow you look amazing! You always have such great style! I love your wardrobe xx
