Remember remember the Fifth of November, gunpowder, treason and plot…
BEDN day number 5 is Bonfire Night. Unfortunately this year I didn’t get to visit a bonfire or fireworks show. My family came over on Saturday night with the intention of going to the local bonfire, but I decided against it after seeing the storm raging outside. I was sad to do so, but I would have ended up frozen! But instead, Charley came over last night and we played around a bit with sparklers by ourselves! We actually did have ulterior motives for this photoshoot which I will tell you about soon, and one of these photos is going to be used for that, but the others were just our playing around with sparklers! I actually managed to buy some this year too – last year, Charley and I went to buy some sparklers from the supermarket, but unfortunately I forgot to bring my ID. Despite the fact that I was 22, we weren’t even buying masses of fireworks, just one measly packet of sparklers for ourselves, and we hardly look like we’re going to go burn things with them, we weren’t allowed. Even when I said I would leave and Charley could buy them, the woman said that we couldn’t because she knew Charley was just buying them for ‘underage’ me! But this year, I got them without complaint or showing my ID. Ah well – we had fun 😀
Also, how amazing is Charley’s dress? Okay, you can’t really see it, but it’s her grandma’s dress from the 50s and fits Charley like a glove. It is one of the most stunning dresses I’ve seen and was ready to steal it off her! I’m wearing my polka dot pinafore dress from Forever 21 and one of my favourite coats, a mustard one from George at ASDA last year.
