A lot of people are doing the “Year In Review” posts today to say goodbye to the past year and welcome in the New Year on their blogs, and since I had a bit of time free today before heading over to Charley’s for our Murder Mystery evening, I decided to jump on the bandwagon and do one too! I’m not going to make this a really long post, just a quick look over the year in my outfits and what’s happened on the blog as well as with my life. I’ve picked a favourite outfit from each month above, although some of my more busy months in real life only ended up with one or two outfits to choose from per month, so they’re not necessarily my favourites overall!
There haven’t been any huge changes in my life this year – I’ve stayed in the same job, stayed in the same house and passed the 6 year mark with Ben. And while all that doesn’t seem too exciting, it’s been a brilliant year anyway! Next year is the one that will bring another change, with us currently getting all the mortgage and contracts sorted for our new house, we’ll hopefully be moving in in the first couple of months of year – hopefully we’ll have a date for that soon!
This year though has been a year of good things staying the same. I’ve been really happy in my job and things have been moving forward in that, with us starting up a new department and pushing that forward. I’ve also started a few new things including joining the local choir and singing solos at the Christmas concerts; helping out as an assistant leader with my local Brownie troop; started writing an eBook (more on this soon!); and taking up sewing, that I’m now to the point where I can feasibly sew my own dress to fit me in a day! I became a godmother for my friend’s beautiful little girl, went to Disneyland Paris with my sister, Florida with my family, the Peak District with Charley, Frankie and Ben, spent a night in Newcastle with Rosie, Helen and Katy, got cats, and read a lot of books!
While I haven’t got a lot of plans set in stone for the next year, I’m excited to see what’s coming! There are a few things we’ve got in mind and underway, including moving into our own house, buying a few new pieces of furniture for it, taking a big trip for a family member’s big birthday, and a trip to London with my sister in February (that was a Christmas present!). Bring on 2015!
So many pretty outfits here, happy New Year!
