I’m hoping you might have noticed that things have changed a bit over here recently! I started thinking a few months ago about moving over from Blogger to WordPress. I’d always been very loyal to Blogger with my personal blog because it was easy to use and didn’t often seem to have things go wrong with it, but we use WordPress at work for blogs and my newer ones like Big Cup Little Cup are on WordPress too. I started getting a bit fed up with Blogger recently though because there were certain things I wanted to do and ways I wanted the blog to look that I just couldn’t get right, and using WordPress more, I realised that I might be able to get the freedom I wanted with it. Luckily I didn’t have to worry too much about the big move myself as I have a pretty awesome team at work who can do things like that for me without the slightest bit of hassle, so once I’d chosen the new template, it all got moved over smoothly for me! It wasn’t as simple as it seems though since Blogger tags get converted into categories on WordPress, so I had about 500 categories to sort out, back from when I didn’t understand tags and used about 40 on each post! I’m also still working slowly back through my posts to get the new tags sorted as well as the featured images so that I can have posts popping up in my “throwback” section from right back in the blog. There are a few other small tweaks to do, but I’m pretty happy with how it’s looking right now, what do you think?

So on with the outfit now! I’m pretty certain, in fact I just checked and I’m right, that I’ve worn one of my Paloma Hell Bunny cardigans in all my outfit posts in the last 2 months, oops! Although I am at least wearing this one slightly differently as it’s fastened up and worn more like a top – I do have a plain black ASOS vest top underneath and wore it undone part of the day, but decided to keep it done up for the pictures.
I’m absolutely in love with these cropped checked trousers at the moment, although I haven’t yet thought of many other ways aside from this to wear them. My sister and I went shopping a couple of weeks ago, and I ended up buying these, even though I actually hadn’t planned to buy any clothes, woops! I thought they were perfect for that retro/pin up look I’m trying to get for Spring at the moment, even though it’s a bit chilly to have bare ankles right now! I’m excited to wear them with my off the shoulder tops when it gets a bit warmer again though. I also bought a bath bomb from Lush which is the first thing I’ve had from there in ages and loved it!
So how are you all at the moment? I’m a bit under the weather (again!) right now with a kidney infection that antibiotics don’t seem to be knocking out of me, so I’m hoping that’s going to clear up soon. Fortunately I don’t feel too awful with it – it’s mostly just a constant ache in my side. I’ve had a fairly busy time recently again too, especially with the big blog move! I got my new car on Friday evening so have been getting used to that over the weekend – it’s a Hyundai i30, so nothing terribly exciting, but it’s a bit bigger than my old little Nissan Micra. Ben and I popped into York for the afternoon on Saturday, had fish and chips and visited a few shops including Lush again where I just had to buy three more bath bombs! I think I might have a slight obsession now! Then we spent a lot of time with family on Sunday for Mothers Day, first meeting my mum, dad and sister at one set of my grandparent’s house, then heading to the other grandparents with them, then Ben and I went to his family’s to drop off his mum’s gifts and finally back to my parent’s to have a Chinese!

Love the outfit. Smart but casual. I’m on Blogger but thinking of going over to WordPress too. Was it a big job to transfer everything over? I’ve no experience of WordPress at all and even though Blogger is a bit limiting, I find it quite easy to use.

Thank you ๐
I was quite lucky that I had people at work to help me out if I got stuck on anything, but there are some good tools out there to help you move across from Blogger to WordPress without losing anything along the way – I think this guide is quite helpful. I’m definitely enjoying the freedom of being on WordPress now I’m over – there are things that are more technical to do, but I wouldn’t have been able to with Blogger ๐
The blog looks great. The clothes look very confortable and fashionable.

The black and white trousers with the red top works so well. Really spring like. Bring on the colour ๐

Thanks! I’m a little obsessed with them now – I keep wearing them, even though my ankles continue to get chilly!
Ah no, I think if I’d had to do it myself I would have been in floods of tears not having a clue what I was doing – was so lucky to have people to help me! xx
You look great! So does your blog ๐ I’ve always been on WordPress but I did change domains about 2 years ago and half the posts on my blog are now missing images, it’s one of those things that I need to sort out but don’t have the time to! x

Thank you! I’m still going back through posts sorting out tags and images – the images are there at least in most, but not as a “featured image” so they don’t come up on the homepage – might take a long while to get through them all haha ๐

Thank you! Glad you like the blog ๐
The blog looks amazing, but the trousers even more so – so much so, in fact, that I now have a pair of them sitting in my DP shopping bag, even although I JUST bought a pair of gingham trousers last month. They’re such a great. retro/casual look, though, and I totally share your obsession with the Paloma cardigan – I honestly don’t know how I ever dressed myself before I started collecting them!

Thank you! I know, I’m obsessed with both the trousers and the cardigan – if I could wear them all the time, my outfits would be sorted forever. In fact, I’m wearing one of my Paloma cardigans today, and I wore one yesterday. And I’ll probably wear one tomorrow…this is getting bad! I have lost a few buttons off them though, so that’s a bit annoying!
